I have the Japanese release on VHS.
yeah i read another article stating what would have been shot if they had found the financing. Would've liked to have seen that movie. More than happy with the one we got though.

I'm gradually going to be switching over my Scream Factory collection to different colored cases (clear, orange and green). I love how Body Bags looks in a green case, though:

Looks quite nice! I would get rid of the two security tags, though. I can't stand those things and attack them with my pocket knife and Goo-Gone almost immediately upon discovery.

Never really understood going through the hassle of changing cases like that, but I like the body bags one in green. Looks awesome. More companies should be releasing them like that to begin with.

Well...Have to weigh the options. I'm sure I'm not the only one out there that sees pretty packaging and it creates a sale. Draws me right in.

Scream should release One Dark Night (1983). That would be awesome. The Shriek Show DVD is now out of print - needs a re-release!

I ordered a couple of desirables from Amazon, and the total came to $34.88. Argh. I hate it when that happens.

So... I looked around and remembered that I had been meaning to pick up The Slumber Party Massacre at some point. That took care of the remaining 12 cents and then some. It'll be a good leadway into Sorority House Massacre, which I ordered yesterday from Scorpion Releasing.

If this ever comes out on Blu it would be from Scorpion Releasing since they licensed a number of titles from Camelot Entertainment, the outfit that owns the film. But don't hold your breath hoping for a Blu-ray, apparently they're unable to produce an HD master because of a lack of original elements. Supposedly the DVD didn't do very well so that's another nail in the coffin, sadly. It's too bad - this horror film is very entertaining and very effective IMO

On the Killer POV Podcast, the director asked listeners if they had 35mm's out there or knew of any. He allegedly got many responses. A 35mm might not be the most ideal source but it could/will have to work if the film is to be preserved in HD. I wish Walter would contact the director again and try to work out something with Camelot. I think this is a film ripe for rediscovery on blu-ray.

I remember thinking the special effects for this one were very cool. I also remember feeling that for a movie with a very basic plot, it moved slower than it had to. If Scorpion did manage to release One Dark Night, I'd no doubt buy it, but it's not at the top of my old wish list of old Media Blasters. The lack of original elements is sad, though - for this and The Dark. While neither of these is a truly big title, they're still fairly popular, so it's a little difficult to accept/swallow that the original elements, or even decent 35 mm prints, no longer exist. Someone has to have something, right?

How was that movie? I saw it on Netflix and have been meaning to check it out. Is there any relation to The Slumber Party Massacre, I really enjoy that movie and own the Shout BD.

Sorority House Massacre part one is a poor man's Halloween. It essentially is a B movie version of the film. It's similar in appearance to Slumber Party Massacre, but strives to be a bit more. It's worth picking up for fans of slashers, but it's not anything great. Sorority House Massacre 2 however is B Movie Greatness and is HIGHLY recommended. Sorority House Massacre 2 ignores the events of the first film and instead sets itself up as a sequel to the original Slumber Party Massacre. It is HIGHLY enjoyable and memorable and serves as a MUCH MUCH better sequel to The Slumber Party Massacre than either of it's official sequels. Check out Sorority House Massacre 2 for sure. Check out the original if you're a fan of B-grade 80's slashers.

Just got my Barnes and noble order for dolls, UHF and doctors and the devil. So happy I listened to the customer service rep. Not!

That's too bad. I have the same order coming from them and I'm sure it will be wrong as well. Hopefully it won't be too much of a hassle getting the right movies.
