Indeed. It makes me wonder if they considered putting out the subject of another good Snob episode: the Jaws porno spoof known as Gums...

And there it is.

Quote:
We are sorry to report the following news but the Bruno Mattei film CRUEL JAWS will not be coming out as a double feature with EXTERMINATORS OF THE YEAR 3000 next year as originally planned. EXTERMINATORS will now be a standalone blu-ray release at a lower price.

It came to our attention through several of our fans that CRUEL had several scenes in it of unauthorized footage from Jaws 1-3 and other Italian-made shark films that makes it impossible for us to release this in the U.S. & Canada without risking legal ramifications. We gave serious thought about editing out the material of course, but it’s quite a bit of scenes to remove and we knew ultimately that doing that would not satisfy the film’s fans or new ones we wanted to attract.

Again we apologize for getting hopes up on releasing this cult curiosity. We were also looking forward to it and no one is more bummed about it than us for having to turn tables so quickly after announcing it.

New pre-order links for EXTERMINATORS OF THE YEAR 3000 (which is a fun film in its own right) should be up soon or next week. Street date is still 3/3/15.

Kind of bummed, but still can't wait for EXTERMINATORS OF THE YEAR 3000.

No shocker there. Too bad they couldn't find another Italian trash-flick to pair with Exterminators though.

I think someone suggested or should suggest Devil Fish ( Monster Shark ) or even Monstroid !!

Devil Fish was on an MST3K volume after all from SF

Amazon Prime has it for free for revisiting. I have a DVD of it, but the PQ is crappy so I wish someone would license it. Maybe Olive Films will license genre titles since they also have a deal with MGM now

So with Kino getting Tales of Terror, I made a list of the unreleased Vincent Price horror films that could go into upcoming sets. I think I got them all but I might've missed a couple.

The Tingler (I know this is Sony and Cliff said the reason they don't license from them is because they don't allow new extras to be made. Now, that's probably no the only reason, but on the off chance that it is, Scream could release this since they don't do new extras for the Price sets. It'd be nice to include the William Castle documentary as well.)
Scream and Scream Again
The Oblong Box
Theatre of Blood (I think I saw on here that this might be with someone else that's not MGM. I can't remember who that it.)
House of the Long Shadows
Madhouse
Cry of the Banshee
Twice-Told Tales
Tower of London
The Bat

If everything works out, it looks like there's enough here for two more sets.

Madhouse would need a new HD transfer struck, as I do not think one currently exists.

Don't forget Diary Of A Madman -- a really fun one from around his Poe period. Also the Mad Magician -- it was a 3D follow-up to House Of Wax.

Scream doesn't have Theater of Blood - that's the one title I know they don't have.
Mad Magician is with Columbia along with the Tingler. It would be great and helpful if Scream could acquire those two films for a potential Price III
But with Kino in play, its very obvious that they have struck another deal with MGM for more of their titles from that era. In theory, we very well might see more Price films from Kino next year. The more Kino announces movies with Vincent Price, the less likely another set could happen with Scream, so I guess we will all stay tuned and watch for announcements

I was way more excited for this release than I should have been (I own two different bootleg DVDs of it so I'm pretty familiar with the movie) and so it makes sense that I am way more upset about the cancellation than I should be.

I just wanted Cruel Jaws on blu ray is all....(preferably as a double feature with The Last Shark!)

I just watched The Tingler for the first time last night, found myself laughing and shaking my head all the way through it. I knew it was going to be campy and that is why so many people love it but I just didn't feel the love. I can very much enjoy 50's Sci-Fi campy films but this one was just so ludicrous in every way.

I have certainly found in most people that either your a William Castle fan on your not, his style of film making is very specific. Personaly I love all of his films especially House on Haunted Hill, The Tingler and 13 Ghosts.
