A Company named Panama Films was going to releasing ROCKTOBER BLOOD on DVD in 2008. When I called the number listed on the site (352-601-3556) back in 2008 they said they are the original makers of ROCKTOBER BLOOD and all of the home video rights had expired thus reverting the rights back to them. They were in the process of putting together an investor group to release ROCKTOBER BLOOD. Well 4 years have passed and still no ROCKTOBER BLOOD, maybe Scream Factory can team up with Panama Films for a DVD/Blu-Ray release.

Visit the website at:

Scream Factory Should contact Panama Films about releasing ROCKTOBER BLOOD on BluRay

No new title announcements is why.
I really think Kino is going to knock it out of the park next year judging by last weeks announcements, this depending if you like horror films pre 1980

I think you're right

... and I love horror films from all decades so I really appreciate all the other studios releasing great stuff...

but it seems like SCREAM should be dangling a few carrots for next year by now...

Kino Lorbers thread page which is near the Scream page

I also love horror from all decades - Scream did announce 20 titles in October..Kino has a new deal with MGM ..and it looks like the will get titles that Scream did not or could not license from them.. Sure will be fun to see what develops

The only issue is that Kino generally sucks in the Special Features department.

That used to be the case, but they're much improved in that department as of late.

Although as far as I can tell, that's only on the titles released in conjuction with Scorpion Releasing.

But maybe I'm wrong.

The Quatermass Experiment is a good example of what theyre trying to do with extras. It wont be the case with every film. Even some of Screams releases lacked extras, but that tends to be the case with older pre 1980 titles.. The studios do what they can. Im a PQ preferred person anyway

David Holzman's Diary has three bonus films, Devil Bat, Death Kiss and White Zombie have commentaries, Of Human Bondage and Foolish Wives have full-length docs. I'm sure there are others, those are just the ones I own and have handy for reference.

Obviously they're no going Criterion on us, but considering how consistently bare their extras cupboard used to be, I'd say they've made significant strides.

Would like to see a hi-def release of Deathline (aka Raw Meat). A pretty creepy subway terror movie from 1973. C.H.U.D. & Creep basically ripped it off.

Agreed on the first part, though I'd also love to see C.H.U.D. on Blu.

Any new interviews with Kurt Russell are always welcome in my books.

Who owns the rights to 'Breakdown' ? That could be a good Shout release.

Only if they put out the theatrical cut. I watched the extended director's cut and there's a reason that stuff was cut out.

Still wouldn't mind the scenes being kept as extras though.
