I remember an interview with Michael Caine when they asked him about 'JAWS 4' and he said... "I've never seen it. But I have seen the lovely beach front house that I bought with my fee"

That's hilarious!
Yeah Jaws4 was a bit of stinker, but I bet it would look pretty good on BD, with all those nice Caribbean shots.
I'd buy any/all of them. Make it happen SF/Universal!!

I've seen people asking for them a lot. When the wish list poll was here before, Jaws 2 was always well up the top, and when that German blu ray was announced (no idea what happened to it in the end), there were a lot of people very excited.

The regular public may not have demand for it, but Jaws has a pretty big fanbase, and over the years I've heard a lot of love for the sequels. They would certainly be more in demand than People Under the Stairs I think.

Plus any sequel to a big name film is a drawn to regular viewers, which is why I think the sequels have done so well over the years.

Is that why Jaws: The Revenge made even less money at the box office and Universal stopped?

And it's just one website. Others can vary.

One can't equate on release box office takings to home release. Some movies that flopped got massive home releases. For example Scott Pilgrim did disappointingly for Universal in cinemas, before it got a massive pick up on home release, to the point there are frequently re screenings as it became a modern cult classic.

I don't think it's fair to deny any movie a release based on its quality. I also believe the Jaws sequels would do far better than a lot of recent catalog titles released by Universal. The dvds were nearly always rented out at my local rental stores before they all shut.

I honestly think that if they were released, they'd do well enough to justify the release in the first place.

Because Scott Pilgrim had good word of mouth regardless. Jaws: The Revenge is infamous for a reason...multiple reasons mind you but for a reason. People LAUGH at that the movie for the wrong reasons.

I just did the same when I read the blurb about Panasonic's next-generation Blu-ray players on the main page here. Seriously - why are they bothering with making better Blu-ray players when they won't even release their own films on the format? And with streaming on the horizon it makes even less sense. Rolling one's eyes never felt more appropriate.

Agreed. I make most of my scream orders on Amazon. At least the shipping is free, no worries about duty, currency, etc.

HMV also sells a lot of the scream titles I've found. They're usually slightly cheaper on Amazon but I've found a few cheaper at HMV.

yeah thats what i usually do aswell, but no poster or 2 weeks early which sucks...its weird for the shocktober sale shipping saw $3 and now its $18.99! if they can do it for $3 youd think that they could match normal US shipping of $6.99 or a couple bucks more but $18.99 is rediculous.

I agree. The only time I've bought direct from them was during the Shocktober sale (think I grabbed 10-15 movies). If I recall, shipping was free to Canada if you ordered enough. Got charged border fees on top of that. Something to keep in mind. Same goes for the Criterion half off sales. By the time I factor in currency, shipping and duty, it's almost not worth it any more.

Something I found on the Scream Factory Fan blog (which is most likely taken from Facebook comments):

Quote:
-Scream Factory is looking into going back and releasing some of the titles from their old 4 movie packs and releasing them individually on Blu-ray, however they stated that their is no promises in regards to these Blu-ray upgrades happening.
I'd love to see The Outing get released on blu.

The Outing, Cellar Dweller, I Bury the Living, The Brain that Wouldn't Die and The Angry Red Planet would probably be my biggest Blu-Ray "wants" from the various 4 packs.

^ Grotesque gets my vote.

Even though it was a double feature DVD, I'd love Twice Dead as well.

In some theaters JAWS 3-D was out grossing Return of the Jedi, Universal has been widely panned for pulling JAWS 3-D from theaters to soon, there was still more money to be made. A Home 3-D release would sell very well, other than Friday the 13th part 3 it's the most wanted 3-D title.

Im 100% with you on that Zbinks. Especially The Brain That Wouldn't Die with that cool bonus feature on the Timeless Media DVD. Angry Red Planet would also be especially nice, that a longtime favorite of mine. Id love a double feature of Cellar Dweller and The Outing because the creature in the films kind of looked somewhat similar. Maybe even Contamination .7 .. ?

Cellar Dweller would be great. Haven't seen it in over 20 years.

If they do upgrade some of their old DVD releases, I'd like The Evil, Twice Dead, The Outing, Cellar Dweller, and The House that Screamed the most.

I'd definitely buy The Angry Red Planet on Blu-ray. Pretty trippy sci-fi flick.

At least we have alternate ways of getting Scream titles.

If you want to really cry, try ordering from TCM. There are a couple of Rita Hayworth TCM exclusive BD movies I want...but I would rather not have to sell my '59 Corvette to pay the shipping to Canada.
