Gee thanks!
I meant of anything more mainstream, like The Raid as an example? Is it more action or is it just over-the-top violence?

I don't think there are really any non-Japanese films you can compare it to, very over-the-top and tongue-in-cheek action with extreme, cartoonish violence. Toss in some crude humor, bad CGI, and female eye candy and you know what to expect. Those films are a bizarre niche even by Japanese standards.

If it's similar to Machine Girl I'm down. That movie was so bizarre and awesome.

Yeah, I went and looked at the trailer:

I might give this a try.

Gun Woman looks really interesting. I'll definitely have to pick it up!

The House in the Alley would be nice to get on blu-ray, just sayin'. Heard a lot of good things but can't bring myself to get the DVD.

Bleech, I don't even have to view the trailer, the image in that YouTube link is more than enough for me! Not that having co-starred in something called Rape Zombie wasn't a red flag already. What, no schoolgirls being molested by tentacles in this one?

That looks so cool. I really like the idea of films from specialty distributors having cases different than the regular major studio releases (i.e., Criterion's clear Scanavo cases, Drafthouse's clear cases).

My Scream Factory collection already stands apart from the rest of my collection since all but one (Legend of Hell House) of my Scream titles have slips. But, I may end up using those clear cases on another company's titles.

I think an excellent pick-up for Scream Factory would be Three on a Meat Hook. I lost my DVD a long time ago but recall it being pretty good.

I think that one's a little too "70's-Sleaze" for Scream Factory. Maybe Vinegar Syndrome or Code Red could pick it up, though.

Is it anything like Tokyo Gore Police? Based on your description I'd say it sounds VERY similar.

The Love at First Bite/Once Bitten Blu-ray should be on its way to me in a few days.

I saw Love at First Bite on television ages ago, when I was eight or nine, and loved it. I have no idea how it will hold up today, but I guess that there's only one way to find out.

Once Bitten is, admittedly, my main reason for buying this disc. Some friends and I saw it on opening night at the theater back in the day, and it's a fun, albeit goofy, slice of 1980s teenage nostalgia.
The heyday of Jim Carrey (Just kidding...or am I?)

Is Gun Woman primarily Japanese language or English? IMDB has English first but they've been wrong in the past. Nothing against subtitled movies (way better than dubbed) but just like to know what I'm getting into.

I'm looking forward to some of Scream Factory's lineup this year, like New Year's Evil, Scarecrows and EFNY. But the majority of my $$ will go to Kino as they have the best lineup by far. Olive has been on hiatus but they can make a comeback if they come through with the Slasher//Video titles they're teasing and their MGM pickups. MGM is the word of the day - whomever gets the MGM titles out to BD is where my money will be spent

Since Scream Factory seems to be acquiring contemporary titles here and there, I wonder if there is any chance of them getting Game of Werewolves (2011). It's a Spanish werewolf flick that has been available on blu ray in the UK for a while, but for some reason has not been released in the states yet. All the reviews I've read have been overwhelmingly positive.

This is the Austrian mediabook that I own:

http://www.bluray-disc.de/blu-ray-fi...t-blu-ray-disc

Given that this one has two English languange tracks, I think it's pretty much a given that they will be included on the US release. Hopefully an original Japanese language track will be included as well, as I assume one does exist. This release also includes English subtitles.

The lack of a discount on Amazon for the May titles led me to the Scream sale. 85 bucks all in for Babadook, Class, Mad Max, and the two double features. Probably about the same price that I'd eventually get from Amazon, but I can probably make a few bucks off the posters.

Didn't Criterion already release House?
