It could be a lot of things. It could be with a studio that just doesn't see the profit margin as worth it and they're telling licensors they don't have it (unlikely but possible I suppose). It could be with a defunct studio and where ever the rights reverted to is kind of up in the air. The rights could be with an individual. They could be disputed. They could be buried in a studios files somewhere so lazily cared about that it slipped through the cracks. That last one seems the most likely to me.

Who really knows at this point.

I'm not saying that I believe they licensed it, but if they're not announcing titles until Friday, they're not going to reveal in the comments if they have this one. Especially given how in-demand it is.

This may be true, but Fright Night 2 isn't getting announced Friday. Once again, even if this somehow materialized and Scream Factory was able to release it, this is a Comic-Con worthy announcement and not something I see being randomly announced in Mid March.

Lionsgate has it, I was told this by 3 insiders. Lionsgate has a great library of horrors and have no idea how to use it

I like the clear cases to make the collection unique. I think most of the scream releases would look great with black cases as well. Might be something I try at some point!

There are a lot of requests for Demon Knight. The last time I checked there werent any deals with Universal forthcoming, or something that halted any further deals..
I remember something about Universal deals not happening.

I imagine Edge of Sanity isn't too far away. I'm not a fan but it's MGM, 80s, something of a slasher, and features a big star.

I'm hoping for Lady in White. The Ambulance and Sometimes They Come Back would be good fits also.

The weird thing is, there were blu-ray copies of Fright Night 2, being sold on Amazon at outrageous prices once. The pictures of the front/back covers, listed them as Lionsgate releases, in widescreen. They were actual legit pressed discs. Some found their way onto Ebay.

This title was also listed, as a soon to be released, on this website too. However, this version was being released through Paramount.

So was Lionsgate about to release it, then were stopped from doing so?? Is it a music copyright issue as usual??
