you don't have to have prime, unless something has changed the past couple years since I got prime. Before I got prime I used the free shipping option.

Non-Prime members need to order $35.00 or more worth of Prime-eligible merchandise from Amazon to qualify for free supersaver shipping..

That's right. I totally forgot about that. I use to just make one big order every month and use the free shipping.

I've heard that Scream oftentimes aren't able to see the master before licensing a title. They are informed whether or not an HD master is available, but not always allowed to actually see it. Scummy practise that is. Most big movie studios don't give two shits about their catalogue titles though so it isn't surprising.

Anyways the point I'm getting at is that Scream would release it so long as any HD master exists (decent or not) and Universal was willing to license the title to them haha.

It sure doesnt look like Universal will be dealing with Scream BUT you know that MGM is dealing.. Im certain Shout will license more from MGM, especially post 1980 titles. Kino seems to be doing pre 80 in the horror scif fi department primarily.
Its all a lot of fun and I love all the rumors I keep hearing even if half of them are BS (but not all of them are)

I'd think it's safe to predict more IFC Midnight films as well considering that partnership is just taking off as MGM's is starting to wind down.

Actually its not exactly winding down , but I agree that the label is looking at different venues that they can license some more horror movies from. I dont know if they will ever get Phantasm, Hell Night , Demon Knight, Rawhead Rex , Fade to Black etc but its not for lack of trying..
Each label seems to have a focus - and with MGM sublicensing to all the smaller labels, the better the chance we will get titles that we want. If one label says we dont have it, another studio might
But even the smaller labels are branching out as not everything is a movie from the MGM library ..
MGM right now is "the Treasure" with the smaller DVD labels being equivalent to Humphrey Bogart, Tim Holt and Walter Huston
I love classic films on top of my horror roots

with OLIVE films releasing IT: THE TERROR FROM BEYOND SPACE it goes to show that the MGM library has been cut into a piece of pie with titles being cut and sent to numerous catalog-specialty studios. It doesn't matter anymore if one studio doesn't have the titles you want, the way things are going they'll be tons of genre titles being released in 2015 and 2016....

Yes, Looks like anything remotely known might end up on Blu eventually. Right now I'm waiting with baited breath for Kino's next announcements today, which should be 3 titles from the 80's to early 90's. The Kino insider on HTF said they were comedies so I'm hoping for Valley Girl, The Heavenly Kid or Secret Admirer. It's a great time for deep catalog

I agree, I don't care who releases them as long as they get released.

I'm down with Secret Admirer; that's a funny movie.

Obviously, it won't have the extras that a CE from Shout would have, but it's better than nothing.

Dragon-The Bruce Lee Story & Kull the Conqueror were released at Rafaela De Lauremtis' request, she just produced Dragon Heart 3 for Universal.

Didn't IFC Films distribute Grabbers in the US? That movie is in need of a blu-ray upgrade and the UK disk is loaded with extras.

Yes, but it still remains to be seen whether Scream Factory will have access to older IFC Midnight films that had already been released on DVD and/or Blu-Ray through MPI.

The two IFC Midnight titles announced thus far, The Babadook and Extraterrestrial, are newer films that had not previously been released on Blu-Ray or DVD in the US.

It looks like the March Madness sale is upon us. I just got my code for 20% off an entire order of $200 and free shipping in the U.S. Not nearly as good as last year.

I won't use the code, so I can post it up or PM it if anybody wants it.
