The Towering Inferno The Poseidon Adventure Airport Earthquake Meteor Avalanche The Cassandra Crossing Dante's Peak Volcano Armageddon Deep Impact Twister Daylight The Core And probably a lot more modern ones as well. The Hindenburg is coming in Germany in June (another Universal title), and Scorpion may have City on Fire in the pipeline. We're unlikely to get TV movies, such as Fire and Flood, so I'd say the obvious candidates in terms of 'golden age' disaster films still awaiting release, in addition to Rollercoaster, would be: Airport 2-4 (would Scream consider these, perhaps 2 on its own and 3 and 4 as a double bill? It's possible I suppose) Two-Minute Warning (Universal, but not sure if it's really Scream's thing) Gray Lady Down (Universal but not SF material) Krakatoa, East of Java (MGM, but again, probably not a SF title) The Swarm (Warner) When Time Ran Out (Warner) Beyond the Poseidon Adventure (Warner) Skyjacked (Warner) Submersion of Japan/Tidal Wave (Getting the rights for the Japanese original or both would be tricky, but Tidal Wave at least seems something Scorpion might put out) I've probably missed some out but I'd say the main ones are out there, and most of the remaining heavy-hitters are with Warner. |

yeah, in looking over that list pretty much none of those titles need a re-release, the quality is perfectly good as it is.... maybe a new remaster of TWISTER but older WB catalog titles seem to never get any love....

I was referring to The Watcher with Corey Haim, but I wasn't aware that the film was no longer with Universal.

Never heard that there was a sequel. Is it it's own independent story sharing only the title, or does it somehow follow the events of part 1?

It would be so cool if Shout could acquire the blu rights to Universals disaster film line...
I'm in for ROLLERCOASTER Also the Amazon HD downloads of Airport 1975, The Hindenburg and Two-Minute Warning aren't too shabby. |

1986's Link (Elisabeth Shue, Terrance Stamp). The remastered DVD ain't bad, but I'm sure they could do even better on Blu ray and this is a great flick that thoroughly deserves one.

I have a hunch that they have this one. Im sure they grabbed as many post 80 horrors as the budget allowed. I can see that one, Village of the Damned, Shocker, Demon Knight, as well as The Car and Sssssss (which are both pre 80 I know)

![]() Seriously though, Scream Factory has already won in my book. There's pretty much no Universal title that we've all been clamoring for that I wouldn't be happy if they announced. |

Does Scream Factory staff read this thread? There is a horror movie that is quite good, but quite neglected in the genre. It's called, She Creature (2001).
IMDB seems to list it as a TV movie, which I find untrue as it is quite R rated and I think it was more of a direct to video film, although it may have been in theaters in Canada. IMDB also renamed it Mermaid Chronicles Part 1: She Creature (2001), yet the film has no title sequence reflecting that title. ![]() ![]() |
