Id expect them to be at SDCC since their office is in LA.
Scream seems to be heading toward different avenues. The EuroHorror titles are coming from Filmirage studio..maybe there will be more down the line. Im sure more Universal announcements are pending, as well as more from MGM..and whatever horror titles SF doesnt license, Kino will (at least from MGM so far hehe)

I owned Death Race 2000 on DVD in the same "Roger Corman Presents" edition, and I liked the look of the film. I'm sure that it can only be better on Blu-ray. I also own Piranha, and I strongly recommend that one to all horror fans.
My personal favorite in that line is Humanoids from the Deep.
Was thrilled that the uncut version was sourced for the transfer as well.

They'll probably announce Fright Night II after I've bought the new German DVD release.

Not absolutely confirmed no, but most guessed it based on this:

Don't know much about the German(?) company releasing FN II, '84 Entertainment, but could this mean the rights have finally been untangled? I have a few '84 Entertainment titles in my collection but I get the impression these are not necessarily authorized releases. Even if some European label comes out with a legit release on Blu-ray that isn't demo material, anything (legal) is better than nothing.

I'm hoping for some more horror from them in the coming weeks. The last few things have been a bit bland for me.

Got my shipping notice for Scarecrows last night with an estimated delivery date of today, but sadly it didn't show up. But hoping to get through this disc next week.

Everyone is expecting some pretty substantial announcements at this point... if Scream Doesn't deliver this year, this thread will explode with complaints. I'm hopeful we'll finally get confirmation of Tales from The Crypt Demon Knight/Bordello of Blood as it seems like such an easy sure thing. I'd also love Tales from the Hood, but that's probably asking too much so that one will remain a dream. I'm hopeful that a Phantasm Set will release this year, but I'm not holding my breath. I still think Jaws 2-4 Has a better chance to come from Scream Factory this year than the Phantasm set. I think it'd be interesting to see what kind of extras Scream Factory could put together for there own release of Terror in the Aisles. I think Shocker and Village of the Damned are all but a given, and I wouldn't rule out collectors editions of Child's Play 2/3. I think Army of Darkness is inevitable, but won't come this year, and I'm honestly shocked that Chilling Visions: 5 States of fear still hasn't seen a release. (It won't be one of the announced titles, I'm merely stating I'm surprised it still hasn't had an official release). I think we'll get a few more of the MGM scrapings that people have been clamoring for, and I'm sure an out of left field deal will be announced as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see another deal with Warner or perhaps even the much sought after Lionsgate this year or a special title similar to Nightbreed if a Phantasm set isn't announced.

Either way I fully expect this year to be the best from top to bottom in terms of Comic Con Announcements, so we'll see what sorts of things are announced during the Summer of Fear.

They have already shot down Jaws after their deal with Universal was finalized and made their first announcement. They arent coming from Shout at all - they have also stated today at present they dont have any deals with Lionsgate, WB, Sony and Paramount. Nightbreed was not part of a deal with WB. It was a favor that WB did for the director. Warner simply doesnt sublicense due to company policy.
Titles that might be possible on this new Universal deal are Shocker, Demon Knight, The Car, Sssssss, Village of the Damned, Bubba Ho Tep (MGM) , the big stretch would be Army of Darkness

I would love to see them do a collectors edition of DEAD SILENCE. With the huge success of James Wan's recent horror films I'm shocked Universal haven't capitalized on it themselves.

Could've even branded it with "From the director of The Conjuring and Furious 7." Just like Slither could have said "From the director of Guardians of the Galaxy."

From Universal, I could venture guesses of-
Bordello of Blood
The Car
Darkman 2&3 double
Demon Knight CE
Serial Mom
Shocker CE
Slither CE
Village of the Damned CE

Warner and Lionsgate were merely the examples I used to illustrate a point. My point was simply that if a Phantasm box set isn't coming from Scream Factory this year, than I expect that there will be another major partnership in the works for another similarly themed Big Announcement. Perhaps the long speculated Peter Jackson collection of films or something along those lines. I think the Halloween Box set and the Nightbreed release are proof positive that when done right, partnerships can work and be very beneficial to everyone. I wouldn't be surprised to see a unique one and done partnership on a film/series of films every year going forward based on how successful last year was.

Since I own the Canadian version of this I always forget that it hasn't been released stateside. I'd almost be willing to put down some money that this one will be coming this year. Seems like a cheap no brainer in my mind.

Oh, there was a point to your comment ?
lol just kidding

Partnerships are possible but they hardly ever happen, probably as rare as two labels swapping titles which has happened before. It just depends on whats available, the willingness of the studio. I have heard Lionsgate wants too much for their *stock*

I hope so. Last year's SDCC announcements were quite epic. I would be thrilled to see that happen again this July.
