Prison, Shocker, and The Horror Show in that order.

Prison is kind of slow, but has its moments.

Shocker is too long, but the soundtrack is awesome.

The Horror Show just kind of sucks and the killer is annoying.

I'm still holding out hope for a GHOST OF MARS release from them.

Prison is the least bad of the three.

just watched THE HORROR SHOW and, like SHOCKER, I haven't seen it in 20 years...

it's pretty bad with a misguided attempt to bring another franchise killer to the screen like Freddy or Jason. Audiences clearly were not impressed and rightfully so... Brion James's killer is somewhat of a joke with a ridiculous laugh and silly one-liners. Numerous scenes are cheats (dreams?) with no explanation and this gets particularly annoying towards the end...

SHOCKER I have better memories of though as already mentioned, it's been a long time since I've seen it.

PRISON I thought was a good movie...

They're not without their charms.

Prison is a well made horror film that was largely forgotten until Scream's blu-ray. I enjoyed it quite a bit. It has some great gory moments and a decent creep factor.

Shocker is pure fun. It's a bit long but it's certainly enjoyable. Quite brutal and bloody at times.

The Horror Show is my favorite of the three mostly due to the nostalgia factor. Quite gory (even though the unrated cut is not included), fast paced and a lot of fun. Well worth owning if you're into a bit of cheese with your scares.

The release by Sony is quite good, a solid step up from the DVD with some special features. If Scream got a hold of it, they might be able to get a couple more interviews but I doubt they would do much more than that. Sony doesn't license to Scream either. To be fair, if they somehow did get the rights and commissioned a 2-4k transfer, I'd upgrade in a heartbeat. I'm a big fan of the film!

Just watched Class of 1984 tonight. Took a while to actually get going, but overall was alright. Definitely prefer Blackboard Jungle. Anyways, the film looked and sounded good. Only issue is that I guess Shout! has a poor quality control dept. in regards to their extras. Usually the extras produced by Palm 6 Productions are trash, but they didn't make these. The audio drops out a few times for Erin Noble's interview in the 1st featurette. On the menu, they also mis-spelled (as they've done multiple times before) 'Blood and Blackboards' as 'Blood and Backboards'.

Since very little has been said about the Summer of Fear this year, I'm not convinced that there will even be a sale. We'll know soon enough. Scream Factory referred to the "Summer of Fear" as part of their Shocker announcement (referring to upcoming announcements regarding titles/artwork/special features), but still haven't acknowledged any sales events. If they don't confirm something on Monday, I'd say it's safe to assume that their won't be a summer sale this year, but instead a potential Fall sale in it's place.

Based on last year, it should start tomorrow. But they haven't mentioned a sale as part of Summer Of Fear, so who knows.

That would be cool and hopefully they might announce it at Comic Con with Nighthawks, Tales from the Hood, Serial Mom, Tales from the Crypt movies 1 & 2 the 90s ones, Steel and Lace/The Vindicator double feature, Vincent Price Collection 3, Boy who Cried Werewolf, Wild Beasts etc.

Shocker? I'm sold, i'm gonna sell my crummy bareboned DVD and get this new BD.

Tales from the Hood is simply not gonna happen at this point. At Comic Con, I could see (off of your list): Demon Knight and Bordello of Blood. Serial Mom and Boy Who Cried Werewolf wouldn't constitute as much of a win for most, and they seem to have learned their lesson about disappointing Comic Con announcements.

I could see them being:
Bordello of Blood
Bubba Ho-Tep
The 'burbs
Demon Knight
Slither
Sssssss
Village of the Damned

Yes those would be nice too.

Yet Werewolf needs a blu-ray release as it's only on DVD in bootlegs and it has a cult following, fans of it will buy it first day online.

And what do you think of the idea of a CE of Nighthawks with both theatrical and director's cuts and extras galore including commentary by Stallone?

Or what about if they announce Company of Wolves in a CE at comic con since it's an ITC title? that's always been a dream BD of mine.
