Nomads is horrible.

I, Madman is a really fun flick. Don't know about the others, but I'm planning on picking up Jack's Back as a blind buy.

I, Madman is available in its entirety on YouTube (I haven't checked Netflix, Hulu, et al) if you're hesitant to purchase it sight unseen. That said, I'd recommend it as a blind buy to someone who likes '80s horror films.

Forget about Hellhole - it aint happenin'

BTW, I always hesitate to recommend "cheesy" horror movies as blind buys. Much of the charm has to do with nostalgia, but the entertainment value in general is subjective. Depending on when you grew up, you'll probably find most of the ones you list to be worth a rental only.

Fairly soon, they should announce the VP Vol. 3 collection. If it doesn't include The Tingler and maybe even The Mad Magician (if MC has the DVD rights only), then, the Sony deal is likely just a pipe dream.

That is a perfect point. The VP III set would be all MGM titles - unless Scream did pull a rabbit out of the hat with Sony to add a few more to the potential set. I dont think its likely, but if I am wrong, Id be pleased anyway The Bat is also out there..

For me Jack's Back, I Madman and Ghost Town but tbh old horror is so devisive, one person rubbish is another persons classic, believe it or not some people don't consider Cheerleader Camp a classic. It's always been that way and what makes it so much fun.

Exactly. These movies, or a large majority, our perspectives are all based on what we grew up with. I honestly don't know if I would really like half the ones I buy if I never saw them until now. Films like Dolls, Night of the Demons and Shocker. To me, they are great, but really when watching them with others, I can completely see why they would be bored this day in age. I have tried watching several Scream titles that I had not seen or been too familiar with such as Motel Hell and Frogs and really just not a fan.

I absolutely love Jack's Back! It's near the top of the list of titles I'm most looking forward to, definitely.
I'd say it's certainly worth a blind buy.

**NEW TITLE ANNOUNCEMENT**

A recently-made (and very over-the-top) sci-fi/horror hybrid has just been added to our schedule: ARMY OF FRANKENSTEINS will march onto DVD and Blu-ray with a release date planned for 9/1/15.

Get a load of the outrageous plot: After a failed attempt to propose to his girlfriend, Alan Jones (Jordan Farris) is beaten within an inch of his life by a street gang. Transported to the mysterious lab of Dr. Tanner Finski and his kid genius assistant Igor, Alan becomes the subject in a series of horrible experiments as part of the doctor's plan to reanimate the legendary Frankenstein monster. But all bets are off when these experiments lead to a hole being ripped in space and time, pulling an army's worth of the infamous creatures from hundreds of parallel universes and sending them all back to the 19th century – directly into the heart of a bloody battle between the North and South!

The trailer for that flick is painful. I genuinely thought it was an Asylum production.

Most of these newer flicks are, which is why I'm staying FAR away from them. Shout must be doing really well with this stuff if they're always acquiring them. Actually, it's all they seem to be announcing these days. A sign of things to come?

A friend of mine recommended me that movie Battery. He said it was a nice surprise. Should I avoid it?

I've avoided most of the newer films, the Chiller films included, although I did get Beneath and while it had its fair share of issues, it was still enjoyable. And some of them have looked like they might be alright, but this latest one....Yikes.
