Look at it like this, Synapse has had the Argento films for how long now ?
Criterion does the same time consuming restoration work that Don May does, hence some things take time. Criterion has had Mulholland Drive for a while now too.
Also Criterion had the Noir Odd Man Out for EIGHT years before the blu ray was released..

Um, is Larry Fessenden worthy of the boxset treatment ? What has he done that is actually any good ?

I liked Stake Land. That's the only one I've seen of his though.

He didn't direct Stake Land.

Wendigo is his best film. I will be over the moon if that is included. Beautiful, haunting film.

If they are switching gears to newer titles, I hope they try to get The Poughkeepsie Tapes from MGM. Would be nice to see that finally get released.

They also said that there have been a lot of talk about making a foray into producing movies (if I'm not mistaken

). I'll give them a two years before they become another Anchor Bay. Can't blame them, tough. That's where the real money at.

I love Fessenden's flicks, so this is amazing news. Finally something that generates some REAL excitement on my end.

Maybe it'll include a reprint of the Wendigo comic? "Dreaming is free..."

He's made some small indy horror flicks among other things. He's an acquired taste - more for the arthouse crowd. Not really into metaphorical stuff.
