On another note I bought the Ghoulies double feature because I liked Ghoulies and hadn't seen it in years, I had never seen Ghoulies II. Ghoulies II was so horribly bad it wasn't even funny and apparently there exists a Ghoulies III: Ghoulies go to College?!?! and Ghoulies IV.

God help us!

Ghoulies II is miles ahead of the borefest that is the original, but not good enough for me to upgrade. Ghoulies Go to College is big fun and I was SHOCKED at how good the HD master is that Netflix currently has. If nothing else, it proves that Lionsgate IS at least creating some HD masters for the horror flicks they're letting gather dust.

I got confirmation of what cut of The Outing is on the upcoming release:

I don't understand why studios can't use covers with the title that it shows on the screen. Why not just alter the artwork for The Outing to say The Lamp? It's a pet peeve that bugs the hell out of me lol

IMO, I like The Outing title better. But I'm glad it will have the pre-credits opening scene.

I just don't get why the keep failing to actually know if the elements are even useable before announcing titles and getting people excited.

Does anyone know of or know how look up the titles shout is planning on or currently working on, the ones they haven't accounced, the ones that say late 2015 or early 2016. How would I find out?

I don't like to keep people in the dark so I'll tell him. One of the perks of buying direct from Shout is they let you in on conference calls while they're wheeling and dealing with studio execs, but only after you've accumulated at least 250 direct purchases. Personally, I'd love to listen in on cmac while he's negotiating with the SyFy Channel for content but I don't think there's 250 things I need. To each his own

Hm. Didn't somebody mention that the complete uncut version of The Lamp is supposed to be almost 20 minutes longer than The Outing, i.e. in the 105-106 minutes range?

That's what I've read. It was only released like that for its initial theatrical release internationally and on a Japanese DVD. Every other release has been as the trimmed down The Outing. Scream says that the cut we're getting is the only version MGM had. It wouldn't surprise me if the full uncut elements don't exist anymore.

Could this be a myth? The only info I could find is that the Danish VHS was labelled as 105 minutes but was actually only 86.

It would be really cool if Scream Factory did a Troll boxset.

The first Troll is very light horror but still a lot of fun, and Troll II is just so insanely bad that it's entertaining. Shout already has the rights to Contamination .7 (AKA Troll III) so that'd be easy to include, especially since they're upgrading some DVD titles lately. I think this would make a cool set for Halloween time this year -or maybe next year- since Cliff said he's still negotiating some of the fall titles on the Killer POV podcast.
