Like, OMG, Night of the Comet is, like, Valley Girl, but with zombies! I know this one will be fully loaded - the cast has been expressing interest in participating in a retrospective. A commentary with the two chicks would be supreme. This is my top pick.

THE HOWLING - how can you go wrong? Awesome flick, awesome effects, great cast, just wow! Bring on the beast in high definition

THE FOG - I know Shout will do an excellent job with this. Can't wait to check out the artwork.

Never seen Lifeforce but am aware of it's place among many people's wishlists. I also know there's a longer version, which I hope to see in addition to the theatrical version.

THE BURNING is IMO the best slasher film ever made. Can't wait to see what extras Shout comes up with.

2013 will be the year I declare bankruptcy

The restored director's cut was the version premiered on MGMHD, so I'm assuming the longer cut will also be the one on the BD.

The Fog and the Howling are my 2 favorites, the Burning I was introduced to a few months ago and I liked it
Lifeforce i bought a cheap DVD to check out and see if I want it to own
Day of the Dead I wasnt into , to me it was the least of the trilogy, the characters didnt appeal to me
Night of the Comet was okay not worth owning
Id really like to know the story of Without Warning

I really don't get the Without Warning love, the movie is terrible and it's not even goofy or campy enough in a fun sort of way.

Hey guys, the interview with Cliff went fantastic! We spoke for about 40 minutes and ill have it online by early next week. Cliff and I covered a whole range of topics and even discuss some exciting titles that will be coming next year that weren't even announced at the panel... That's all ill say for now so be sure to look out for the interview

Thanks for the effort, Frightener. Looking forward to reading the transcript of the interview. Were there any pictures taken of you and Cliff that might end up in a future issue of HorrorHound? I'd like to put faces to names - see what everybody looks like .

Do we take this to mean that Scream don't have Without Warning then? I imagine if it was part of the MGM deal they surely would have announced it by now. Perhaps Scorpion do have it after all?

And Frightener do you mean titles that haven't been announced at all yet, even in the Friday announcements?

Will you be able to reveal the coming titles, are have you been put under a "hush order" from Cliff? Regardless, thank you for all you are doing and keeping us up to date.

I'm extremely happy with all the titles in the super six announcement. I own 4 SF titles at present and have now decided to support the company across the board and purchase all Blu-ray horror related releases from them. This announcement has made me a believer. I never thought I would see Lifeforce come to Blu and yet here it is. I can't begin to express how grateful I am to Cliff and the SF team.

Without Warning is worth it just to hear Jack Palance screaming 'Alien!'. That scene alone is worth $20 of anyone's money. Kills me every time.

I personally don't get the love for Lifeforce. I literally don't remember a thing about. Guess ill give it another shot before I fully rule it out

Pumped for the fog (favorite carpenter behind Halloween), night of the comet, and the burning (though I think it gets overrated around here).

I really don't care for anything about the howling, but I'll still probably eventually pick it up because of its significance

If the original NOTLD ever comes out ill pick up this version of day of the dead

Me too, but I got mine a couple of months ago. Figures, huh?! I'm hoping for some really cool extras that will make it worth double dipping.

Thing is though we don't know when these titles will be released just yet other than 2013. I bought the UK Fog this past summer to be sure I'd have it for this years Halloween viewing. So I don't regret getting it and the new SF edition will no doubt be the end all be all for the title and I'll be buying that too. I'll also pick up DotD from them as well. Just using Halloween II as a comparison here, SF version should blow the hell outta what AB put out. I'm excited!!!

Be great if they can get Savini to do a commentary for The Burning and Bottin for The Howling. Bottin is way under interviewed and used.

No offense but you should actually read my post. I never dissed anyone in any way, I'm all for people having different opinions of a given thing. I mean, if we all had the same opinion then the world would be very boring place. I can certainly understand that we all have different taste, but I never could understand the WW appeal that's all. That being said, if you or others enjoy the film then more power to you. You could always try and give some reasons to give another chance, maybe I'll even end up liking it....

My feelings are the exact opposite.

Like many, I became a big Carpenter fan after Halloween so I stood in line to be at the first theatrical showing of THE FOG. I couldn't believe how boring it was. One scary moment wrapped in a bunch of deadly dull padding. I remain absolutely mystified that it has a following. Does anybody think it's a scary movie...or even remotely interesting? It's his weakest film. Even THE WARD is better.

But I'm thrilled to see LIFEFORCE on BD. I skipped the awful DVD. I'm stoked about finally getting this on home video.

I have seen Day of the Dead once. I rented it along with Dawn of the Dead and watched the divimax editions back to back.
I didn't like Day of the Dead at all. It might just be that Dawn of the Dead was amazing in comparison, but I hated it. It's setting was strange, and I didn't even finish it. I'll buy it on Blu-Ray anyway to support Scream Factory and to complete my 'of the dead' BDs, I just hope I like it on its 2nd chance.

I haven't seen Lifeforce, although I have heard a lot about it, I plan to pick up all of the Scream Factory BDs, so I'll finally get to see it!
I haven't seen Night of the Comet, but I've been wanting to for a while, I saw a clip of the "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" scene and I was hooked. Lol.

I've seen and am very excited for The Fog, The Howling, and The Burning! I can't wait to pick these up!

I was happy to see these films announced, but I do hope they picked or will pick up these MGM titles for future Blu-Ray releases:

Would LOVE to Have:
- Motel Hell
- Prom Night: part II

Would Like to have:
- Scarecrow
- Squirm
- Frogs
- Dolls

I still don't get why MGM/Fox decided to license cult favorites with a huge fan base, such as The Fog and The Howling to SF,and yet,to release TCM 2 and Killer Klowns by themselves?
Perhaps, they were testing the waters with those two titles, and since sales weren't of satisfactory results, they decided to take the easy route and simply lease them to whatever label?
