I thought there was a 3rd cut that had stuff from both, the director's cut and theatrical. I could be wrong.

For me personally, it's one of my all time favorite animated films and for some reason it has yet to get a blu-Ray release 😔

Exactly. Everything about this film works. And you always leave the movie very happy. How can you not want to see that more often?

I was looking at Akijama's 10 shark film post and it just dawned on me that Shout Factory DOES have Monster Shark aka Devil Fish since it was an MST3K release. I would love it if they decided to give it a blu ray release in its OAR..

What is the likelihood that the 1984 slasher 'Girls Nite Out' would get released by Scream? It might be too obscure for them?

After seeing some of the obscure crap they've pulled out their ass lately, I'd say NOTHING is too obscure for them!

No way I could see that getting a solo release.

It could be part of a double feature with Funeral Home or Hell Night. I have no clue where the rights are for any of these but would be a good bundle. Or even paired with The Destroyer.

Hide and Go Shriek...The Prey... there are tons of other slashers where this could be paired with.

A guy can dream

No way Hell Night would be in a double.

Yeah, I don't see Hell Night in a double either, despite not really caring for the movie myself. Maybe I could see Girls Nite Out and The Initiation or some other generic slasher.

I'm not expecting any slasher films out of tomorrow's announcements tbh. Comic Con announcements are usually reserved for big guns.

Depends on whether the license with Shriek Show (Media Blasters) has expired or not and how approachable and realistic the rights-owner is. I'm pretty sure Girls Nite Out is independently owned.

Here's a refresher of what was announced last year. Maybe this would make a good template of what is going to be released this year (or maybe not):

1. The Dark Half
2. Monkey Shines
3. Candyman II: Farewell to the Flesh
4. Scarecrows
5. Phantom of the Opera
6. New Year’s Evil
7. Invaders from Mars
8. Dolls (Collector’s Edition)
9. Mad Max (Collector’s Edition)
10. Escape From New York (Collector’s Edition)

I need to put some thought in before I make a final guess.

I'm expecting at least 2 CE aligned for the Comic Con announcement.
The Thing, Tremors, Death Becomes Her, Child's Play 2 & 3 and Return of the Living Dead would make great CEs.
Fingers crossed.

We are thrilled to announce that we have a creepy new IFC Midnight film planned for release on Blu-ray & DVD this Fall!

ELI ROTH PRESENTS THE STRANGER (Streets 10/6) – A riveting and gruesome tale set in a small town comes to us from producer Eli Roth (Cabin Fever, Hostel) and marks the directorial debut of writer Guillermo Amoedo (Aftershock, Knock Knock and the upcoming The Green Inferno).

Extras are still in progress and we'll reveal those at a later in an official press release.

Pre-order now @ https://www.shoutfactory.com/film/fi...s-the-stranger

Check out the trailer...
