I'm really hoping The Prey gets announced tonight.

The only reason I think a slasher might be announced tonight is because they have to pair something with The Destroyer. I'd love just one slasher to be announced tonight.

I was bored stupid by The Prey. It had some decent gore, but basically nothing else of merit. And I'm a sucker for a camp slasher.

That being said, I'd at least briefly contemplate buying it, but I doubt it'll be announced.

All I really want (from the most likely candidates) is Village of the Damned and Psycho IV. I don't see any major surprises but I'd love to be wrong.

I buy everything anyway so I'm never picky.

'The Prey' ...Same here! That's definitely one of the slashers I've been waiting on. I'd also like to see some love for 'The BRAIN' (1988), that movie is sooo much fun

Anyone notice that there's an abundance of new/different members in this thread tonight? Everyone's got an opinion when it comes to Comic-Con apparently, the other 364 days of the year? Not so much.

More and more I'm thinking there's has to be a huge title like The Thing. They would of saved Army of Darkness for the Con if they didn't have something of a similar caliber

edit: I guess Big Trouble in Little China would also be a AAA title for them. So I'm betting dollars to donuts we see at least one of those two

There's going to be a lot of upset forum members if one or both of those are the "Big announcements".

That would trully be a big announcement and one I would love. Sadly, Scream Factory has made a habit of hyping the comic con announcements only for them to fall a little flat in the past. At this point I expect Demonknights list to be accurate as it's filled full of films I have little interest in and the vast majority of the public will simply shrug their shoulders at.

There's gonna be a lot of upset people regardless of what they announce

Oh they didn't announce Fright Night 2, guess I'll pass on everything

A bunch of low budget titles I've never heard of that never even saw DVD releases, what a joke

Oh a bunch of titles that already have BDs. I hate Scream

As far as I heard yes. I really feel that The Car has to be one of the 10. Death Becomes Her is very likely for their bigger horror comedy title and its mainstream. The Guardian and Lady in White are also from what I gathered seem "likely" but as always no guarantee.

Everything Ive heard leads me to this : ( so far anyway)

Lionsgate isnt likely unless they lose the rights to their titles which is always possible. Same with Echo Bridge. Shout can get them if the rights are gone.
Phantasm and the sequels unless Scream has pulled the rabbit out of the hat, are still being negotiated with Image. The director is trying to get Part II from Universal. Im thinking Lady in White, House Where Evil Dwells + Blood and Lace will represent the MGM titles. The Thing to me is looking less likely at this moment...but you never know.
Big Trouble in Little China and the Fly II to me would be the Fox titles, only if there is a deal with them. James Finn from Fox posted at HTF that the Fly II is coming from "a trading partner" or something like that. I havent heard anything about The Midnight Hour, Psycho IV or Raising Cain

My final predictions

Blue Steel (1990)
Ghost Story (1981)
The Fly II
Chopping Mall
Prom Night II, III & IV
Miramax Hellraiser sequels
Blood Beach

and out of left field, a Phantasm set.

Can't think of anything else

To me if they bought the Classic Media Godzilla library they cant just be airing them on TV for 24 hours for free. But whatever happens, happens. Im happy with the DVD box set anyway, of course id upgrade but that set is one of the best out outside of ones shaped like coffins !

Is Chopping Mall a possibility though? Last I heard Lionsgate had their grips on it.

Well we know they have streaming rights, that much is established already, and separate from any physical distribution rights they'd have to get.

I actually watched a few from the CM boxset in anticipation , so it's been a fun week no matter what.

Not from Scream according to a few posts I read awhile ago. LG might have it still

Especially since most of us already own them, and BTILC's release was just fine and is now quite cheap.
