***HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT OF 10 UPCOMING TITLES!***
We just revealed the following upcoming Scream Factory blu-ray releases at our Comic Con panel this evening. Here's the exciting line-up:
1. WOMEN’S PRISON MASSACRE (1983) - First women-in-prison film in the Scream Factory roster. Bonus points for being Italian-made.
2. BLOOD AND LACE (1971) – First time ever on a home entertainment format!
3. TROLL (1986) – Which will be paired with Troll 2 as a double feature.
4. GHOST STORY (1981)
5. THE GUARDIAN (1990) – From the Director of The Exorcist!
6. THE CAR (1977)
7. NIGHTMARES (1983)
8. DEATH BECOMES HER(1992)
9. GARBAGE PAIL KIDS: THE MOVIE (Collector’s Edition) (1987) – Not horror of course, but “gross” enough!
10. THE RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD (Collector’s Edition) (1985) - !!!
We have no details to report on this time other than that Death Becomes Her, Blood and Lace and Troll are slated for November 2015 street dates. The rest will roll-out in the months to follow with ROTLD likely releasing in Summer / Fall of 2016.
Did you predict correctly on any of these?

I do think that it would've been better to hold off on announcing Demon Knight, Bordello of Blood and Army of Darkness until the panel, to help bolster the titles they did announce.

With that said, Death Becomes Her and Ghost Story are ones I'll grab. I'll have to see what the Troll/Troll 2 release is like, since I've never watched the first one (although I've got Troll 2 on Blu-Ray already). I've already got the UK release of Return of the Living Dead, so I'll likely pass. I never got around to grabbing Arrow's release of The Car, so I'll wait and see which package looks better. And I'll completely pass on Garbage Pail Kids.

Yay for Troll, Return of the Living Dead, and Garbage Pail Kids (yes I know what kind of movie this is). My only big disappointment is no The Thing CE. Hopefully a later announcement.

They really should've waited to announce Army of Darkness and Talesfrom the Crypt. Would've made this announcement less "meh"

Excited about Death Becomes Her, although it doesn't look to be a collectors edition so the extras will probably be limited. I was expecting a few more exciting titles. Garbage Pail Kids? Wtf? And a collector's edition at that!

Blood and Lace I will have to re-watch but I don't remember being all that impressed with it. It is pretty bad when out of ten announcements Troll 1 is the highlight(at least for me) lol

You can me to that list. I won't be buying any of those titles. I didn't have high hopes based on everyone's guesses, but I was at least hoping to be interested in 1 title. It's a shame that's there's a plethora of great horror titles that need their blu-ray debut and we're too busy getting the bottom barrel titles.

I know Scream Factory isn't necessarily to blame, since from what I've read on here, several studios won't sublicense their titles, but for a Comic-Con announcement that's been hyped up for weeks, this is a pretty lame offering.

Disappointing.

Death Becomes Her not being a collectors edition means we won't see that original ending or the other deleted scenes. Lame

Very confused, but not massively surprised I guess.

Women's Prison Massacre seems a very strange choice, same with a Collector's Edition of Garbage Pail Kids.

Death Becomes Her should be one, with the wealth of extras that it deserves.

I hope Ghost Story, the Guardian and The Car have some nice extras.

As for ROTLD, what a strange choice. It would need AT LEAST the original audio to be a worthwhile release in my books, and lossless to even consider buying it again. The Second Sight release is so packed it'd be hard if not impossible to top, and Scream themselves admitted a while back.

If the original theatrical audio is not included they can pretty much throw the whole CE in the toilet. I'm sure they know this

well, I was half right with the 4 titles I predicted and I'm thrilled to get GHOST STORY and THE GUARDIAN... but....

for 10 titles, this is a pretty sorry bunch. Garbage Pail Kids? Troll? Women's Prison Massacre?

We don't need another ROTLD release, The Car is a pretty mediocre film as is Nightmares....

I guess I might pick up Death Becomes Her because it's a fun flick....

We'll just have to agree to disagree. I'm still waiting for the day that we'll see Blu-Rays of other Mattei classics, such as Robowar (Predator ripoff) and Strike Commando (Rambo: First Blood Part 2 ripoff).

The Second Sight release has both audio tracks, including the original music. It's Region B locked, but can be bypassed with the Top Menu button trick on pretty much any Blu-Ray player; the movie and the feature-length More Brains documentary will play fine. I'll probably pass on Scream's release (since I've got both the Second Sight steelbook and the MGM US release for its extras), unless it has extras that look very appealing to me...

Yes! Wanted The Car and especially Nightmares badly...rather bummed The Car isn't a Collector's Edition, I really don't get the thinking there compared to other titles they have chosen for CE's. So two for me for sure...maybe Ghost Story. Also bummed no Village of the Damned You would think that title would be a no brainer being Carpenter and all. Somebodies got to release it right?

A bit disappointed but somewhat relieved, as far as the wallet is concerned.
