Awesome announcements and teasers throughout that interview. Great to hear about the Rolling Thunder Blu-Ray amonst other non-Scream Factory titles. No need to import or settle for MOD for me.

I'm really intrigued by the prospect of multiple 2013 boxsets for Halloween next year. Come on Corman/Poe and Vincent Price collections.

I'm glad you touched on the cancelled Werewolf TV series DVD. I had that preordered the day I heard about it as that was a favorite of mine as a kid. I was really bummed out when Amazon eventually cancelled the order on me.

Really nice job on the interview!
I think these were the titles I heard to be in Shout!'s possession:

Exterminator 2
Dark Angel
Joshua Tree
Rolling Thunder
Cohen and Tate
Captain America (1990)
Tank Girl
Eve of Destruction
Unholy Rollers
6 Jackie Chan movies
The Big Boss
Fist of Fury
The Game of Death

No horror titles, but a lot of welcome titles nonetheless.

Sounds about right from the ones I recall. I was hoping to hear 10 to Midnight mentioned when Rolling Thunder came up.

Yeah not really any horror titles announced in the interview but still you have to admit these were some really unexpected announcements that will make genre fans really happy, myself included! After the interview concluded, Cliff did give up a little more information on some more titles that should please plenty of people but I'm not ready to spill the beans on that just yet. Glad you guys are enjoying the interview!

What are you holding out for? Or are not allowed to divulge the titles

I just want to be 100% sure that Cliff is okay with me saying anything, I believe he did say it was okay but honestly we spoke for such a long time that I sorta forgot . I just want to confirm with him before I divulge anything. I'm sure you guys understand.

Oh and the one thing I wished you would have gotten into is the sales performance of the 5 released titles. I feel like we get so much box office information, but never any details on how things are doing on the home video front. Knowing how the sales are going can help to determine what is going good and what is gonna bad for the company, and how they may change for the future.

I also wish you woulda touched on the lack of availability on the main bm stores and how that that may be negative to gaining exposure and also trust building with customers

I expect (hope) that Scarecrows, Prom Night 2 and some of the other titles recently discontinued by MGM may wind up at Shout.

I think the company that holds the rights to Day of the Dead also reps titles like Sleepaway Camp; so it makes sense that some of these titles may also be released by Shout.

It also looks like Carpenter's Assault on Precinct 13 went out of print at Image. I could see Shout picking up the rights.

I asked Cliff about Dawn of the Dead. The Anchor Bay disc seems to have went out of print. His response indicated that Shout doesn't have the rights. Can you confirm that Cliff? Still looking forward to Day of the Dead.

I hope we see some more non horror titles from Shout. There's a great scifi musical from the Cannon library called The Apple that I had the pleasure to see at a midnight screening at the Egyptian theater in Hollywood. Was a ton of fun! Would like to see a new release. Seem to be gaining a sizable cult following.

Well they did mention that "They Live" has been performing very well, that much I do know. As far as the lack of availability of these titles in stores, it pretty much boils down to the store chains' decision. Shout does reach out to all the major stores such as Best Buy, Wal-mart, Target, etc. but it is ultimately up to them whether they want the product on their shelves or not. Shout has been saying that the best way to go about this is for people to call the stores and request that they start stocking these titles, if the stores start to see a demand like this then they have a reason to reconsider stocking them. These days I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to go into your favorite store hoping to secure your copy of a desired title only to be disappointed that there not on the shelf. I grew sick of that routine 3 years ago and joined Amazon Prime and have never looked back. Amazon is definitely the best place to secure your pre-orders from niche labels like Shout Factory, Synapse, Severin, etc. that way you never have to worry about a release day coming and not getting that title you were looking forward to.

Yup, this is 100% true! In addition, a new interview with Lundgren has been shot for the Blu-ray already. Really looking forward to adding this into my collection next year. My MOD DVD can go take a hike

So it'll likely be a collectors edition?

Yeah, I still have the VHS version with the flip open front panel on the box case.

Just when I think SF couldn't make me any happier.

I'm actually unsure if this will be apart of the Scream Factory line but I'm willing to doubt it. I think it's just going to be treated as its own cult release just like "Joshua Tree" is. Regardless, seeing this flick on Blu-ray is going to be a real treat.

I have the UK DVD. It was one of my first non-Region 1 DVD's I bought. So it'd be nice to get it on Blu-Ray. Hopefully there will be some other nice extras.

Hey Man, that interview was awesome. I really feel like you did a great job representing us fans here. If you end up being Cliff's go to guy here on the forum for info on SF and it's releases that would rock. You would be an insider then. How cool would that be?

It certainly would be my honor. I hope to stay in contact with Cliff so hopefully as the year progresses, I'll have the privilege of being in the know on future releases. Thanks for all the kind words guys, the interview was a blast to conduct and I hope after this it just makes everyone want to support Scream Factory that much more. They certainly deserve it!

You guess it will and does

I wait for Unholly Rollers for so long

I guess I'll have to decrease the ammount of small critic I do about Shout! and get some release I didn't plan to get just to show how I appreciate the effort Cliff did to get that one

Thank for the interview Mike and I'm sure you know already how I'm happy to see some of those surprise titles

It seems like Shout has acquired quite a few of MGM's MOD dvd-r titles (Incredible Melting Man, Dark Angel, Cohen & Tate, Rolling Thunder, etc). It would be super disappointing if they somehow didn't manage to grab New Year's Evil.

I'd also like to see Enter the Ninja and Revenge of the Ninja from Shout. (Not sure about the rights for Ninja III. DVDAF claims that Warner has it.)

Hopefully Cohen and Tate will be the unrated version. The MOD DVD was missing some gore.
