Destruction or slaughter on a mass scale, esp. caused by fire or nuclear war: "a nuclear holocaust".

I didn't think so.

How so? It's a relatively obscure film with no home video release since VHS and only 160 votes on IMDB. Sure, Claudia Jennings and Roberta Collins are known to grindhouse fans, and Scorsese's name in the credits will help, but I'm not sure how that makes it a bigger title than the majority of their Scream lineup. I'm not sure Video Dead needs two commentaries, but glad to hear the disc will be super-stacked! A Phibes double-feature disc would be a welcome addition as well.

No, they don't control Dawn of the Dead....but we did get a few interesting titles from the same licensor of Day.

My Grandparents were prisoners at a Concentration camp in Poland.
So there.
Anymore back talk and I'll have the ADL brand you as "anti-Semitic" then see how that affects your credit score.

FYI:

The original company who is listed as the rights holder for "Day of the Dead" also list "Sleepaway Camp"! And both Day of the Dead and Sleepaway Camp were taken down from Anchor Bay's site as well as Sleepaway Camp... Seems like someone else may have swooped in...

Cliff just said "ACTUALLY WE'RE WORKING ON 2 BOX SETS". Why not announce two during the last interview if he's just gonna give it up in this one. Maybe the aquisiton of "Day of the Dead" and other 'interesting' titles allowed him to create another box set that wasn't planned originally.

Hypothetically, let's say Cliff got "Sleepaway Camp II and III" from MGM, and then when he got "Day of the Dead" he picked up "Sleepaway Camp". He NOW has enough to make another box set, that he didn't plan for when he only had the 2 sequels. I'm going to say I like this hunch!

AND how do you think Anchor Bay got the triple pack rights? They made the same deals! One with mgm to get the sequels, and one to get "Day of the Dead" and the original "Sleepaway Camp". Its history repeating itself! And I love it!!

There are other non-horror Taurus Entertainment titles like Wired and Kentucky Fried Movie (ah, junior high...) that might get Shout releases. Bring on the Slaughterhouse Rock Blu-ray, Cliff!

And Creepshow 3! Taurus has a lot of cult titles like Masoleum of the Dead and DeathScream!

Retribution and Tobe Hooper's Spontaneous Combustion are also Taurus possibilities.

We do not have Sleepaway Camp.

For the record, I made a long post about Universal purchasing the rights to "Sleepaway Camp" a while back lol... So I'm not sure what made me get "overly excited"... :b haha. I think I was having a fan moment.

And also I think Taurus has:
- Mortuary Academy
- Creepshow III
- Ghoulies III
- Day of the Dead II
- Retribution
- Tobe Hooper's Spontaneous Combustion

Those are the ones I took notice of.

This definitely peaks my interest. Considering who exactly controls "Day of the Dead" is a bit of a mystery as of right now, this could turn into some really appealing acquisitions.
