TT also offered to trade another title to another label but that label declined from what I was told. But that's how it goes
They offered Count Yorga to Scream Factory but they were not interested. Bonehead move on Scream's part.

Thats correct..that's why I wonder about other possibilities. TT isnt really a horror label per se even though those titles are the biggest sellers for them.

I'm very surprised Scream didn't take Count Yorga and do a double bill in that case. I guess they were reluctant to trade whatever it was TT asked for, or perhaps didn't think it a fair deal?

Nah, I cant see that.. Shout has a bunch of non horror titles that they could have traded for but who really knows. Yorga would have made sense for Shout

Do you happen to know if Shout and Twilight Time have ever traded anything else?

Did they say anything about why they haven't released MGM's "The Curse" or the "Curse 2 - The Bite". I would love a double feature of those.

No. But these are MGM titles and Im 100% certain a label will release them eventually. Sometimes in deals from what I understand, not every title is offered to a label and yes some labels do pass or on titles as well. Then there are budget restrictions, labels license as many upper tier titles (Pumpkinhead) that they can within the budget and whatever is left in the budget goes to something low on the tier (The Neanderthal Man) . There are probably so many behind the scenes shenanigans that none of us could fathom. As they say , deals are complex

Oh wow, interesting.

1) I'm shocked SF passed up on having both of the Yorga films, especially considering how trigger happy they've been this year with double features.

2) I can't fathom spending a TT price on the Goldfoot sequel. That was a smart move on their part to get rid of it.

With the recent Cherry Falls announcement, it's a safe bet that SF still has a few Universal titles up their sleeve. I'm holding out hope that they've also got Slither (2006), Session 9 (2001), Village of the Damned (1995), or The Hitcher (2007).

Any other Uni releases you guys are clamorin' for?

Can't be many Universal tittles left that I want, but one that I would love for Scream Factory to release is Island of Terror (1967), starring Peter Cushing. Also, if they were able and willing, I'd go for Dracula's Daughter (1936), which is on of the better Universal sequels from the golden age of Horror.

**NEW TITLE ANNOUNCEMENT for January 2016!**

Another retro cult titles (veering a little more on the obscure side this time) is planned for blu-ray release in the beginning of the new year. Read on for all the details:

SONNY BOY (1989)

We’ve released some pretty “out there” cult films (e.g. Ninja III, White of the Eye, The Island, Gun Woman, to name more than a few) but wait till you get a load of this one...

In a remote desert town, a psychopathic petty crook (Smith) and his transvestite girlfriend (Carradine) kidnap and raise an orphaned infant, cage it like an animal and train it to steal and kill on their command. Years later, when the half-wild Sonny Boy escapes and embarks on a bloody rampage, the couple's monstrous attempt at "child development" provokes the local populace into vengeful retaliation. A shattering, unforgettable performance from David Carradine (Kill Bill) powers this wickedly off-beat tale of family love gone berserk. Paul L. Smith (Midnight Express, Pieces) and Brad Dourif (Child’s Play, The Exorcist III) are also featured in powerfully moving supporting roles.

**NEW TITLE ANNOUNCEMENT for January 2016!**

Happy Monday everyone! More retro cult titles (veering a little more on the obscure side this time) are planned for blu-ray release in the beginning of the new year. Read on for all the details:

THE HOUSE WHERE EVIL DWELLS & GHOST WARRIOR Double Feature

- THE HOUSE WHERE EVIL DWELLS (1982) A century ago, a samurai brutally murdered his adulterous wife and her lover before taking his own life. Now, the Fletcher family has found what they think is their perfect Japanese home – not knowing it's the same house where the murders occurred. But as strange events escalate and the ghosts of the dead begin to toy with the living, the Fletchers discover they've become unwitting players in a horrible reenactment... one which they may not survive! Stars Edward Albert (Galaxy Of Terror), Susan George (Straw Dogs) and Doug McClure (Humanoids From The Deep) and is directed by Kevin Connor (Motel Hell).

- GHOST WARRIOR (aka Swordkill) (1984) While exploring a cave, two skiers find the body of a 400-year-old samurai warrior entombed in ice. He is brought to the United States in a hush-hush operation and revived through cryosurgery. Unfortunately, he is then forced to battle for his freedom, dignity and life. This Charles Band production stars Janet Julian (King Of New York, Humongous).
