I like the first Sleepaway Camp movie but I'm sort of relieved it's not something Shout is working on (or the bad sequels). Anchor Bay did OK with the trilogy on DVD, even if the PQ on the first film left a lot to be desired. Aside from restoring the first, there's isn't really anything further to be done with this series IMO. I sort of feel the same way about DAY OF THE DEAD. What is there left to talk about? Between Anchor Bay's Divimax DVD and Arrow's Blu, everything has pretty much been covered (and Arrow's transfer is very good). Short of them coming up with a Director's Cut, I think this will be the only Shout release I'll be passing on (albeit with a heavy heart since I want to support them every step of the way).

BTW, Taurus Entertainment makes junk. I really hope they're not the mystery licensors.

Me too! One of my favorite movies!
I'm going to steal "Creepshow 2" from Image Entertainment, and then give it to Scream Factory!
Hopefully the italian release is uncut.

Sadly Pyun's extra scene with Michael Nouri gives the 1990 film vast emotional power beyond anything from Marvel Studios.

Cap visits old Michael Nouri in a nursing home, he has Alzheimer's- he briefly remembers who Captain America is/was.
He talks about how the world is bad now: Korea, Vietnam, industrialized warfare.
Cap more accepts blame for having failed to save America when he was needed most.
Then old Michael Nouri lapses back into Alzheimer's and forgets he's talking to Captain America.

The scene ends with Michael Nouri saying; "Captain America, whatever happened to him?…"

There is also a scene where Cap gets a job at Gold's Gym and see how the 1990's are and feels bad.

I wish I had the shelf space to buy movies that I wasnt into just to support them. I tried Prison and Terrorvision and just wasnt my cup of tea, but needless to say Im getting at least so far a dozen or so titles of theirs...including Death Valley which is a blind buy for me that was *cheap* at ImportCDs.com - Im sure there will be more since their announcements around quite finished yet

Yeah I had gone a little bit over the top on that one, but you know how I am and why I react often that way about Shout! Factory

I was referring at titles like Prison or The Island or Death Valley who will get blu-ray releases and not the Carpenter's movie

Imdb votes is irrevelent when we talk of films made before the nineties (to be honest it is irrevelent 99.9% of the time). It didn't get a release since the VHS days, maybe it's the reason why all the Claudia Jennings' fans want this one for so long

why do you think that?
they will have extras... some will have more than your average collector's editions

I completely understand that they'll be great releases. I was just stating they (probably) won't be like Scream Factory reversible cover, pre-order posters, etc. I love Rolling Thunder btw. Thanks for that one! I have a huge poster in my bedroom. Can't wait, I'll buy anything you guys put out in any form, just to support yall'!

Exactly.
Cmac denied having Halloween II/III when I (and many others) knew otherwise.

Not calling him dishonest, just saying that when he says "no"- it's probably a "hopefully".

Haha exactly, honestly, the denials we've received that turn into actual announcements just make it more of a surprise in the long run. Personally, I prefer just being caught off guard with all these announcements, it just makes it that much more fun for me at least.
