Unfortunately, like someone has already said, i guess they could just be upconverts. shame.
Creepshow 3 Blu-Ray is not an upscale so fingers crossed.

the bottom of the barrel is subjective - Psycho IV will be released when Shout Factory has reached what they would call the bottom of the barrel
Trilogy of Terror II is also with Universal, Id go for that one in a double feature with Psycho IV

All collectors editions from At least Cat People onward (check main page for release order) have the slipcovers shrink wrapped to the film, so yes you'll get a cover.

Re-posting this since it quickly fell to an older page and I'm still curious if it was a problem with all discs...

I finally picked up From a Whisper to a Scream this last week and decided on watching it tonight. Quick question for anyone that owns this release... does the Theatrical Trailer Special feature play for you guys? Whenever I select it from the special features list the screen goes black and nothing happens. I can use pop up menu/top menu to back out of the selection, but no matter how I try to play the trailer it always fails to load. Just curious if this was a problem with all copies, or if it's something exclusive to my disc.

That's true, there is no guarantee after three months, but your best chance is from Shout directly, otherwise you might have to live without a slipcover

It may be subjective, but most agree they've released some piles of steaming garbage over the last couple of years. I would argue that there are quite a few movies that they've released that are absolutely inferior to Psycho IV.

They can release what they want, but some of their excuses for ignoring Psycho IV are silly. At first they said they didn't want to release TV movies...then they release some made for TV movies. They say they thought the quality of Psycho IV wasn't great and they didn't want to dilute their lineup by releasing it. Then, they release piles of excrement like Garbage Pail Kids and Scanners 2/3 among others.

I'm sure some are tired of hearing this title brought up. I'm sure Scream is tired of hearing this brought up. Well, all they have to do is release it. Make it a double feature with Bates Motel or the remake and this Groundhog Dayesque discussion can be put to bed, at which point we can get back to our regularly scheduled "does XXX title still ship with a slip cover...I can't live without a slip cover...the world will literally stop rotating if I don't get a slip cover" discussion.

Had a blast watching JACK'S BACK with friends last night. Nice disc from Scream Factory, And who else has love for the opening and ending credits track 'Red Harvest' by Paul Saax? So good!

Has anyone bought any of the releases since Cat People and Not gotten a slip cover though? From anywhere? To the best of my knowledge I don't think that has happened which would mean you're safe. The 3 month thing is a farce. A better estimate would be that the first 3000-5000 copies likely have Slip covers. You can still get titles from 2013 prior to them shrink wrapping covers, with the Slip covers at select retailers meaning that we aren't blowing through these titles. Anything that has the cover wrapped is guaranteed to have it at this point in time.

Oh wow. I thought that the slip covers were more rare than that. I always ordered from Ebay for my Scream Factory titles because i want to ensure it coming with a slip cover. You're saying that i'd be pretty safe ordering them from Shout directly as long as it's after The Cat People?

Yes, they started shrink wrapping over the slip covers starting with Cat People because people were essentially stealing them. They'd order the discs, then return the disc unopened, but without the slip cover. I'm assuming they were either hoarding them or flipping the slip covers on ebay. I'm sure they considered it a victimless crime...until the next person to order the disc would get it shipped to them sans slip cover.

This eliminated the ability to do that. Now, the main angst I see is from people who don't like how the shrink wrap can damage the corners of the slip cover. I'm sure Amazon and Shout see a fair number of returns for damaged slips, but they were seeing that anyway. I remember seeing many posts over the years where people talked about returning discs 2-3 times due to slight imperfections in the slip covers.

That's the funny thing about slipcover nonsense. The value is in the minds of people who convince themselves that they are rare or valuable.

I was at the HMV store here in frozen Winnipeg yesterday. They had six copies of FUNHOUSE. Two had slipcovers. Four did not.

And they are all sitting there...at the exact same price...waiting for anybody to buy them.

($19.99CDN which is $14.30US)

Pretty much every Scream release that had a slipcover can be bought...with a slipcover...at that mall near my house. Yes; real rarities.

I wish I could buy scream factory releases at the mall. FYE doesn't stock jack and Barnes and noble is the same and they toss slips before hitting the shelf. Both stores suck. In the states the only real option for buying scream factory releases (any label really) is online and unless your ordering release day slips are no guarantee.

In my mind a slip cover is just more bang for your buck. It's something so simple that can make the item much cooler. Especially with Collectors Edition Scream releases with the reversible cover, i like to have both covers displayed. I'm that small percentage of Blu Ray collectors that would be willing to pay a bit more to have that little additive item for my collection. Hell, if you let me know which titles are at that mall near you with slip covers, i could make it worth your while to pick them up and send them to me!
