Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger has already been released by Twilight Time (sold out though), from the sounds of it Twilight Time won't be re-issuing this but I believe there is an Australian edition available. It's also a Sony title and Scream does not work with them. |

I wouldn't go that far, but it sure does share a lot of similarities(large pieces of the plot). I think it borrows a lot from other movies as well. I enjoyed Forsaken, but I think most of the movies I saw it borrow from were more enjoyable. I don't know if I'd be interested in owning it on blu-ray. Definitely not at a $20+ collector's edition. Maybe as part of a double pack, though.

If THE FORSAKEN borrows from something it's NEAR DARK. I've seen countless contemporary vampire movies and most are garbage: brooding pretty boys, lots of slow motion and CGI and - glitter! Forsaken falls into the old-school category and is a lot of fun even if it borrows. It needs a Blu-ray.

Unfortunately, another vampire western comes to mind that is unlikely to be released, Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat. Darned Lionsgate hogging up so many cool products. |

I'm personally not a fan of Near Dark either. The only good thing about that film was Bill Paxton in my opinion. JC's Vampires is ok, mostly because of Sheryl 'Laura Palmer' Lee and James Woods. Smaller Carpenter film, but I enjoy it more than ND. |

Don't know who it resides with but on the topic of Victor Salva films I'd like it if Scream could release The Nature of the Beast, a road movie/thriller starring Lance Henriksen and Eric Roberts. I rented it on VHS years ago and thought it was a suspenseful little movie.
And even though it's not horror, I wish Powder would get a Blu-ray release already but I doubt Disney will ever do that. ![]() |

I know it seems impossible, but I'd absolutely love it if SF could release Nightwatch, the 1997 thriller. If somehow the deleted footage was found, even in SD, would be absolutely amazing.
SF gets a lot of flack, but without them, there'd be so many treasures we'd never get a chance to see in HD, albeit with the qualifications that come with their translation(s) on the format. Army of Darkness, imho, was a knockout release, and kudos to everyone who worked on it for gathering all of that material and finally releasing it all at once. But yeah, NIGHTWATCH, SF, NIGHTWATCH!! ![]() |
