The only way id buy this on BD is if its the version with all the gore. Ive read about Craven's original PG version & don't have any interest in seeing that one.

With THE CRUSH and BAD MOON confirmed I guess it's clear now that EXORCIST III will be among Scream Factory's next "big" announcements. I'm not too crazy about the film and am satisfied with the current BD but if we're going to get some kind of Director's Cut with extras then it'll be a pretty big deal in my book. Hoping for a decent in-depth documentary about the making of the film. Quite often, hearing about a film's background helps to increase one's appreciation of it.

Did not know. Is this being released by someone else aswell now that you mentioned double dipping?

Not that I'm aware of. A lot of people ask for re-releases of films in this Thread, so I wasn't sure if you were wanting this film to get a Scream Factory release, or if you legitimately weren't aware that it was already available.

This can be had pretty cheap these days, and the odd's of it ending up with Scream Factory seem unlikely, so I'd grab it if you are interested. It's been available for several years and it's been a while since I last viewed it so I really can't comment on quality, though this site appears to have been rather rough on it. Either way, it's an upgrade for sure over any releases that came before and considering it's price, even a modest upgrade makes this edition worth grabbing for fans of the film and horror fans in general.

Indeed given that Morgan Creek and blatty confirmed last year that its being worked on and the fact that Scream tried to get it back when they got the rights to Nightbreed.

Now the Morgan Creek catalogue is no longer tied to Warner Scream will surly have got Exorcist III the second time around. Now we just have to wait for the announcement.

I guess they must have finally found decent materials.
I've seen a lot of older/lesser known horror movies but I can't say I've ever heard of this one (except for when I saw the release news come and go before). Sounds promising though! I'll have to grab a copy when it comes out.

I wish they would release Fade To Black (1980) and Road Games (1981)!

SF has tried to license it, but the rights owner ignores their calls and emails. Apparently, he's rich and doesn't need the money.

Doesn't Code Red have the rights to Fade to Black?

I want to do a bunch of preorders with one of my MM coupons, but now I'm wondering if Scream has more announcements for July up their sleeves this week.

Anyone else want 'Terror Tract' (2000) with John Ritter? That's a sadly overlooked anthology. I believe it's with Universal (or USA Films).

this would be a good choice on one of those SCREAM double features.... I'm not sure if it would be successful as a stand alone release.
