Wal-mart, Barnes & Noble, and a few other stores will frequently toss slip covers, so while I agree with your thought of supporting Brick & Mortar stores, your statement isn't entirely true.

If I remember correctly when Leprechaun the complete collection came out a few years ago, Best Buy wasn't stocking copies with the outer slip box for whatever reason, but online orders from everywhere had them. Sometimes strange things happen. |

Amazon has Amityville Trilogy boxset from SF listed at $119, is the boxset out of print already?

Then, I think that Amazon Marketplace seller is trying to pull a fast one. Scream Factory's Amityville set was only released on Blu-Ray, not DVD.

You are likely correct. I didn't make that connection, but the Amazon link very clearly stated DVD, so that's potentially a well made bootleg being sold.

You guys need to lighten up. It's a poorly worded listing which is not uncommon in a retail world where most sellers don't know the difference between DVD and BD. I see it all the time. If you click on the actual listing to buy it, it says (in very BIG letters) The Amityville Horror Trilogy [Blu-ray] by Shout! Factory. There is no "fast one" being pulled. Nothing needs to be "reported". These aren't "bootlegs". It's an overpriced product being sold by a seller with a 100% rating. It happens with EVERY product sold on amazon...there are third party sellers with outlier prices. We don't report people because of minor typos or lousy prices. Just find a better deal. The world doesn't need more busybodies making it their job to report things. |

Listing an identical item under ASINs not used by Amazon or any other Marketplace seller is misleading. That's the "fast one" I was referring to. If this were a simple case of outlier pricing, the seller would've used the same ASIN as everyone else. Bear in mind, the only reason we're even discussing this listing is because it triggered someone to ask whether the release might be OOP.
