Of all the SF CE's this one took the most bizarre track, IMO.
The price was all over the map, mostly on the high side. There was a brief period when it became unavailable during preorder. Then I had to wait several weeks after release for it to hit, what I felt was, a comfortable price range(~$25), which is a few dollar more than every other SF CE if preordered, both, before and after Serpent.

Chiller TV’s acclaimed original series SLASHER will be arriving on both DVD & Blu-ray on July 12th. This thrilling first season– which recently concluded its run on-air this month - stars Katie McGrath (Jurassic World, Dracula, Merlin), Brandon Jay McLaren (Chicago Fire, Graceland, The Killing), Steve Byers (The Man in the High Castle, Alphas, Smallville), Dean McDermott (Ecstasy, CSI) and Wendy Crewson (Saving Hope, Revenge).

Synopsis: Thirty years ago, in the sleepy community of Waterbury, a killer known as "The Executioner" murdered Sarah Bennett's parents. Now Sarah (Katie McGrath) and her husband Dylan (Brandon Jay McLaren) have returned to town, only to find herself the centerpiece in a series of horrifying murders centered around the seven deadly sins. It seems "The Executioner" is back. But if Tom Winston - the original Executioner - is behind bars, who is the new person behind the mask? As the murders escalate, long-buried secrets are revealed, making everyone around Sarah a suspect…or a victim.

Both formats will include a behind-the-scenes featurette and extended episodes that feature scenes not seen on its original broadcast. For more information, check out the pre-order link @https://www.shoutfactory.com/tv/horr...her-season-one

Yeah, there's a thread that was on the main page but has fallen to page two at the moment.

Was this confirmed at all, or still just a rumor at this point?

It would be awesome if Scream Factory could get Tales From The Hood.

The first episodes were pretty good, then it went to... well, I can only say I was very disappointed with finale. But the show was definitely better than MTV's Scream...

I know people are waiting for Psycho 4 and most people hate the 1998 remake of Psycho but I actually find it amusing and would love to have it on HD and with an HD DTS 5.1 audio track. (I think the Australian release is DD only and many report the image quality isn't the best, I watched it in theatres and a film from 98 shouldn't have to look this bad on disc)

As much as people slam the Psycho remake it is miles better than remakes of Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th IMO.

I actually liked it quite a bit. It's definitely cheesy, and there were some parts that annoyed me, but I enjoyed it the whole time. Some cool kills throughout, and some interesting twists and turns. I wouldn't go in expecting something genuinely amazing, but for a slasher in TV format it was pretty solid. Also, for just over $20 it's a no-brainer for me.

Yes to both of those. My Anthology collection isn't complete without them. I do have Darkside the movie on DVD though. I had Tales From the Hood on V/H/S but never got it on DVD years ago.

The DVD is pretty bad. It's window boxed and from DVD's earlier days. It's better than nothing, and I fire it up every now and then, but pretty much any type of release will be a massive improvement.

What many of you have been waiting for:

**NEW TITLE ANNOUNCE**
This Summer stay out of the showers! “Norman Bates” is back in PSYCHO IV, which is headed to the Blu-ray format on August 23rd.
A seemingly rehabilitated Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins) is drawn to a late night radio show where the host (CCH Pounder) encourages him to share his views on the topic of matricide. Reliving his childhood, Norman recounts his trials of a young boy (Henry Thomas) living with his widowed schizophrenic mother (Olivia Hussey). These haunting memories are more than just disturbing visions of the past; they threaten to rekindle his killing urge in this spine-tingling thriller directed by Mick Garris (The Stand, Masters of Horror).
Extras are in progress and will be announced sometime later on in the early Summer time period.

Right. That just leaves (probably) Child's Play as the only other unscheduled retro title. Even with the delaying of Raising Cain and Lady in White to August, hopefully we'll still get 2-3 more announcements over the next week.

Holding out hope for Slither and not another re-release of a perfectly fine existing title at a MSRP of 3x times the existing release just to justify a slipcover and 30 min of new extras.
