I'd say Maniac Cop, but my favorite release so far was "Dorm that Dripped Blood", the director's cut. It look beautiful!

Looks like Olive just announced Night of the Demons 2 and Monster Squad, so you can check those off your list (if they were there to begin with)

I already knew they had those two...but it still makes me sad especially with Monster Squad that had a great release. The new Monster Squad release will probably have a trailer and that's it. It's actually quite sad considering it had such great special features...

Night of the Demons 2! Happy it's coming, but now we have another sequel hitting blu before the original.

I love me some Hammer films but there are some I can't stand. Horror of Dracula and Dracula Prince of Darkness are my two favorites. Rasputin The Mad Monk and Plague of the Zombies are fun but my guilty pleasure is Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires.

Intruder also looked fabulous - I've been more consistently impressed with Synapse's transfers than any other US company except Criterion, and even they've had a few instances where they were handed botched transfers, as with Children of Paradise.

Yeah. Nice to see 2 coming, but I sure wish the first movie would get a release.

The way I look at it, the 1st one will come to blu-ray eventually, but I didn't even have hope that the sequels would see the light of blu! Lol.

I'm stoked! But what about "Night of the Demons III"? It was owned by the same rights holder, so why wasn't it included? Maybe someone else got it first, or maybe they didn't think it would sell? I'm not sure but I am curious, who even had the rights for the sequels?? Wasn't it Paramount via their Republic Library? So why not get 3 too?

Night of the Demons 3 sucked. Only way I would buy it now would be if it's released as a double feature with 2. Special effects on 3 were terrible.

But for people who want the complete set, this needs to come out.

And I would say that many in this forum are probably die-hard horror fans.
You say it sucked, I say it was cheesy. And I can't get enought cheesy movies!

I agree with both of you! Cheese is what make a bad movie good. And I can't wait for all the "Night of the Demons" and "Silent Night, Deadly Night" movies to come to blu-ray!

Lionsgate has 3 of the "Silent Night, Deadly Night" films, and an overflow of horror gems. I can't wait until Shout! can crack into their vaults. Sooner or later the major studios that actually do sub-liscense will run out of cult/horror movies to let them distribute, then we'll see other companies, like Lionsgate, make deals with Scream Factory! I just can't wait...

I can't wait for "Night of the Comet" either! It doesn't seem to be getting a lot of love on here though. When the super six were announced people were so pumped for the others, and kinda ignored it a bit. Its a classic, in my opinion. Its tied for one of my favorite announcements, with "The Town that Dreaded Sundown". But I'm definitely gonna get all the Scream Factory blu-rays, I'll pass on some of the dvd only titles, mainly because I can't afford to support 2 formats. But I'll certainly be getting this blu-ray, because I know it'll be awesome!!

I also hope they title one of the featurette's in reference to the cool mall scene:
"Girls Just Wanna Have Fun: the making of Night of the Comet"! lol...

Night of the Comet is also my favorite Shout/MGM announcement. I really hope it's one of the earlier releases. I can watch that movie 50 times and never get tired of it

Also a huge fan of Night of the Comet. I use to have the MGM dvd and can't wait to get the new Scream Factory one.

Just wondering...Which releases are going to be dvd only?

Definitely the type of list that skews toward my preferences, but "They Live" was a MUST the moment I heard the news, as was "The Nest." I haven't seen that 1988 Corman film in a long time, but the special effects were incredible and amusingly gross. Also on the MUST list that was previously announced: "Night of the Comet." I don't know if they got director Thom Eberhardt to participate in any extras, but I do have the Code Red DVD of his "Sole Survivor" and was disappointed that he was nowhere to be heard on that one. A dream team commentary would get him back together with Catherine Stewart and Kelli Maroney, just like the announced "TerrorVision" track with Ted Nicolaou, Diane Franklin and Jon Gries.

I believe this is the first time I've seen Diane Franklin grace any DVD bonus features since I first began collecting DVDs. Finally! My fond memories of "The Last American Virgin," "TerrorVision" and "Better Off Dead..." have spurred me preorder "TerrorVision" and check out her autobiography in quick succession. Franklin may not have been America's sweetheart, but as an avowed cult film fan, she is exactly that.

If anything screams "Might Buy" to me, it's the trio of Cannon films they got the rights for: all I've seen of "Schizoid" is its trailer, which has only one creepy Klaus Kinski reaction shot but is enough to get my interest. "X-Ray (Hospital Massacre)" looks like fun, what with Boaz Davidson directing, Barbi Benton in the lead and a micro-"Bloody Birthday" reunion with Billy Jacoby and Elizabeth Hoy. Can't say I've heard of "The Godsend," and I'm not too familiar with with the works of either Gabrielle Beaumont or Angela Pleasance. But I'm intrigued and have hopes of a nice surprise.

All of the titles on said want list are encouraged, as are "Deranged," "Scarecrows," "The Curse/Curse II: The Bite," Tobe Hooper's "Invaders From Mars," Tibor Takacs' "I, Madman" and maybe...just maybe...Brian Yuzna's "Society." And if they can get a deal with Paramount regardless of Olive Films, let there be BD special editions of "The Penthouse," "Bug" and "Jack's Back." In the meantime, I commend Scream! Factory for their increasing catalog and hope to collect nearly all of their releases.
