Invasion of the Body Snatches CE announced for August.

We now know Child's Play is (apparently) coming at some point, but I can think of a few others which Scream might have gone after:

Carrie (though they might have competion from Criterion on this one)
Misery
Invasion of the Body Snatchers
Killer Klowns from Outer Space
Species
Poltergeist 2
Poltergeist 3
Teen Wolf
Silence of the Lambs (again, could Criterion be interested?)
Hannibal
So... Child's Play, Misery or Carrie in September?

Based on the amount of stuff they're releasing that I already own, I'm just going to start thinking of it as that I'm buying the artwork posters and the blu-rays are just bonuses. That may make me feel a bit better.

I have the Arrow steelbook but am definitely grabbing this version as well, mainly because I love the film and want a region 1 release. Love that artwork too.

Chilling Visions: 5 States of Fear has still not seen release on any format since it's airing in 2014 on Chiller, so who knows what will happen to this following June 3rd.
I'm not sure if Chiller actually holds the home video rights to Chilling Visions: 5 States of Fear, like they did for the original. That may be why that particular film hasn't been released by Scream Factory.

I would say Fender Bender is almost a certainty for a physical release. I'd be very surprised to see Scream Factory opt against releasing their own film.

I already have the MGM version but might double dip if this has a better transfer.

Yeah I've always assumed that Scream Factory had the license for Chilling Visions: 5 States of Fear, but you could be correct in that it's with someone else. What I do find odd however is that sometimes these Chiller Broadcasts are one and done and the film is never heard from again. 5 States of fear has had no physical release to speak of (I'm not even sure it has a digital release), so for the curious, it's worth tuning in to check out.

It's looking like most if not all of these will be coming. Most are really unnecessary because the current releases are fine, but Carrie and Species had lackluster transfers and I'd like to see them get better releases.

Hannibal's transfer is the worst of that lot, I think, and it's also the one that has the best cinematography besides maybe Carrie. Hannibal is one that really does need a rerelease in this country. IIRC there was only one foreign version that had a decent transfer, and it was a crapshoot whether you'd get that version or the bad version since they had the same product page on Amazon.co.uk.

It's only a matter of time before The Last House on the Left happens, based on MGM's DVD Collector's Edition titles. Their six titles were (alphabetically): Child's Play; Invasion of the Body Snatchers; The Last House on the Left; Pumpkinhead; The Return of the Living Dead; The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2.

Now let's see what Scream Factory has put out on Blu...

And with Child's Play soft announced/leaked by Tom Holland as an upcoming member of the Scream Factory line...

But is it part of Shout Select, or is it part of the Scream Factory lineup? I'd wager the former fits better regardless of the fact that they're technically werewolf films.

Why not both? I feel like there can be some crossover. I feel like this might even out the line for those who didn't like the inclusion of some titles that were less specifically horror (Assault on Precinct 13 and Darkman come to mind).

it seems like an odd time to have so many double-dips too with 4k releases being possible options in the near future.

I tend not to buy another release unless there is a clear improvement in picture quality.... most of these double dips don't really offer that.... just a fancy cover and some new supplemental materials.... I don't really understand why people get excited about it

holding off on so many titles has really paid off for me. Stuff like TCM 2, Invasion, and childs play would all be single dips for me.

All of those titles I paid less than $8 on so I really don't mind the double dip and will likely upgrade all of them at some point. I also don't have a problem with them being re-released, but the sheer volume of re-releases all at one time is what's slightly disappointing. I would have liked them to have staggered them just a bit with some other titles. All things considered though, I am happy to see these released and am happy that they weren't saved for Comic-con. I'm just hoping to see some new as of yet released titles eventually making their way back into the announcements soon... or, if we're going to go down the re-release path that maybe some of Shout's earlier releases make their way over to the Scream Line up. I'm sure more could be done with Audition and/or the Step Father (though I only own Audition currently).
