Nightmares
The Guardian
Sonny Boy

I highlighted the ones above that I'd pick first, however all of our recommendations don't mean a whole lot based on the fact that we don't know your tastes.

What kind of horror films do you enjoy the most?

the rights for the movie is actually up in the air right now. So if scream Factory wants it they can probably get it

That link doesn't seem to go anywhere. Was this the information you were trying to post?

If the film hasn't actually fallen into public domain, then I would assume the rights are still held by Charles B. Pierce's estate. The real question is "Do quality film elements still exist?"

Video Voice, Inc. is a TV broadcaster, http://wvvh.com/. The rights being assigned in that document are probably limited to broadcasting rights. There are a number of titles listed in that document that are owned by other parties.

I may be bias because of the decade I grew up watching horror, but these two are great/enjoyable! If you like The Faculty, Disturbing Behavior is a safe bet. If you enjoy Scream/Urban Legend etc then Cherry Falls is a good choice as well!

I would say you are definitely biased as Disturbing Behavior and The Faculty are terrible. By products of the damage that Scream did to the genre that only continued to usher in the era of "pretty faces" horror.

Since Warner screwed us on the first film maybe Scream Factory can put together a nice comprehensive featurette covering all 3 films.
I thought I saw some mentioned that Cliff stated they have no interest in getting rights to Poltergeist 2 and 3?

He had no interest in Psycho IV but that's coming out in a couple of months . The Poltergeist sequels are shoo-ins for Scream Factory.

I just purchased the Poseidon Adventure steelbook, because of the original poster art, on the cover. Same with Earthquake (not a steelbook).

If anyone eventually releases King Kong '76 or Prophecy The Monster Movie, I pray they use original poster art on both. I'm still a little pissed, that Fox has not released an Alien box set, with the original hatching egg and waffles poster.

And while we're on the subject, a re-release of Cronenberg's The Fly, with the teleporter cover, would be welcome as well.

Would love these.

The Japanese bd of King Kong '76 is really good and region free. Definitely worth getting. Now Prophecy on the other hand.....seems like I've been waiting forever for this one....

I think part of my bias comes from what Scream did for slashers/horror in terms of casting! I love that we got huge stars of the time in horror films! Something about seeing familiar faces from Buffy, Dawson's Creek, Friends, Party of Five, and generally recognizable stars like Drew Barrymore, Denise Richards, LL Cool J etc, just made the whole package all the more exciting. I LOVE the 80's run of slashers, but the low budget/having one-or-less "star" per cast, it doesn't give me the same nostalgia. As I admitted though, totally a product of when I grew up as an early 90's baby.

what are the chances of any of these people think?

The Midnight Hour 1985
bloodbath at the house of death 1984
The Changeling 1980
Amityville Trilogy Set

I would also love to get House (1986) And House II both also. I used to watch both of these multiple times as a kid.

I definitely understand your reasoning and can appreciate it, but all the people you named as reasons you enjoyed the films are the reasons why I have such disdain for them. Even being part of the prime demo in the 90's (I was born in 82) I was immediately put off by the over use of familiar faces in horror films during the 90's. Seeing the cast of Seventh Heaven show up in my horror films doesn't add anything to the product, it only distracts from the end result and gives me very big clues as to who is going to die horribly, and who's going to survive or be killed off camera... pretty faces don't typically do elaborate make-up effect work.
