slumber party massacre is a really good slasher. the blu ray looks good too. its probably one of the few slashers where the killer is realistic and scary.

They recently shot down Killer Klowns. I'd replaced it with Hannibal. The rest of the list sounds about right, especially if Dead Ringers, Carrie and Slither are not on their '16 schedule.

Not much really, just that they've never been interested in acquiring it. Most of the discussion was related to the release of the Jeepers Creepers films.

Currently trying to wrap my head around which version of the original Night of the Living Dead blu to buy. A lot of the comments are negative on both editions but that movie is so classic and amazing I have to buy one of them until if/when its ever officially released.

To me the best version which is the one I also have is this one which is the Japanese restored and remastered version https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Night...Blu-ray/14216/

The movie is all in English to just Japanese writing on the case

I can't say I blame them. Releasing the Jeeper's Creepers movies is one thing; Salva went to jail and served his time, regardless if you agree with his sentencing or not. Releasing the movie that got him into trouble would be a disservice to Nathan Winters and his family. I also could not imagine the kind of backlash Scream Factory or ANY genre studio would have if they attempted a Clownhouse release, especially in this PC era we find ourselves living in.

They caught a monumental amount of crap from people on Social Media over Jeepers Creepers apparently and continue to do so even now. They stated that they thought they were prepared for the response, but it was even worse than anticipated. Clownhouse would be far FAR worse and they stated that at no point have they ever considered that title.

They should release a 25th anniversary edition of Candyman next year. Don't have an HD quality of the movie out. Maybe they can have it in 4k.

I am a rare Waters fan that appreciates his early work but actually likes his Hairspray and beyond career the most. Serial Mom, Pecker, Cry-Baby and Cecil B. Demented are my favorite Waters movies.

Many of these are probably correct, except for Tales from the Hood of course. And if I'm being honest, there's not a whole lot there to get excited about.

Yes, Clownhouse would definitely be a lot worse. And I think it was a smart move from them to specify that they would never associate themselves with that movie. I'm a big fan of the film but I can understand how it has a stain that will never fade away unfortunately.

As for the backlash on the release of Jeepers Creepers or any other Salva film, I think it's ridiculous.

Yes, I believe MGM would want to get rid of the film more than anything after what happened to the DVD release. But I seriously doubt any distribution company in the US would want to be associated with it. A foreign company I can believe.
