I believe so, but don't quote me on that. I'll have to check when I get home. Perhaps someone here knows the answer.

Before we get carried away with the idea of An American Werewolf in London CE, I just remembered something: in the recent podcast, Jeff mentioned Landis as one of the directors he'd love to have in the collection (along with Cronenberg). Unless he was bluffing (and this is entirely possible, after all they'd want to surprise fans), this led me to believe that neither Dead Ringers nor American Werewolf were in the pipeline. He also mentioned Carrie as a 'dream to get', so that one struck me as unlikely also.

That said, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see CE's of these announced in the near future. In which case we'd have to commend Jeff for his deceptive secrecy.

I'm pretty sure Jeff has mentioned in several interviews he wants Carrie. Shouldn't be that out of place historically speaking. An Jeff is not above deception to keep an announcement hidden. Believe he did that with Halloween 2, and was it sleep away? There was one movie in 2014 he explicitly said they didn't have, then they announced it like 2 weeks later.

With Carrie and Dead Ringers, you would imagine they would face competition from Criterion, and it may be that De Palma and Cronenberg favour a Criterion release given their respective histories with the company. But I suppose if Jeff knew Carrie was with Criterion, he probably would have said something to that effect, no?

CARRIE needs a photochemical restoration, not just a digital makeover. It won't get it but I think the film would be in better hands if Criterion handles it. Criterion always seems able to go a couple of steps above anyone else when it comes to remastering films that are in bad shape and they've done wonders with MGM titles. They're usually light on extras but anyone who owns the MGM Collector's Edition, which was fairly comprehensive, can make their own combo pack. I love Scream Factory but give this one to Criterion

I agree, I think Criterion or Arrow would be the best fit for Carrie. I also think Dead Ringers would be a better fit for Criterion as well. Let's see what happens.

Scream already managed to license Carrie once, so acquiring it again shouldn't be a problem for them.

I can see Criterion getting Dead Ringers because of their repeated Cronenbergs, but also to upgrade their OOP disc.

Indeed, it makes the most sense really. The only reason Scream have now come into the equation is because it was a Morgan Creek title, and we know that they've a deal in place with them. But I can't help but think Criterion would move quickly to secure Dead Ringers, especially if they had Cronenberg's endorsement.

This right here is the problem I have. Not sure if it's a case of "ignorance is bliss" or just a profound sense of entitlement, but the packages I alluded to do not fit that description. AWIL has a beautiful steelbook redolent with extras. The Fly and BTILC are very comprehensive sets. The fact that they can be had for cheap is a bonus for the movie fan/collector...you know, affordable pricing isn't always a stigma.

The line of thought here seems to be "major studio release = bad"; in other words, it's inadequate unless SF put their hands on it.

I was thinking those might have been among the "plenty of hints" he had referred to on Facebook.

That's a good point. In which case, I wonder if they might indeed have Alligator, which was another of Jeff's dream releases. Weren't Lionsgate's rights said to have lapsed?

I believe they flat out stated that Alligator was untouchable during the podcast as one of the other hosts asked about it.

I was under the impression their rights had lapsed, as the DVD has been OOP for a few years. Assuming they have lapsed, we're looking at a scenario that is similar to Hell Night and Fade to Black, where the rights have reverted to a producer who is independently wealthy (in Alligator's case, Brandon Chase) and not particularly motivated to license their assets.

Starting to receive my order from Amazon I placed on May 12 during the "Scream" sale. Terror Train, The Burning, Sleepaway Camp2, Motel Hell all came with a slip. Sleepaway Camp 3 and Demon Night did not. Still waiting on Darkman and People Under the Stairs. Surprised TT, TB had one and DN did not. I see several titles are backordered on BB site also.

I apologize if my question has been answered but here it goes

I could have sworn I recently read that EVENT HORIZON extra footage has been found or something similar to that. Any possible chance that that could be a future title for Scream? I don't see it doing great with a distributor if re-released with extra footage and such outside of a place like SCREAM with it's dedicated fanbase.

Thank you for your help.
