"Phantasm II" and "From Beyond" have officially gone up for pre order at Amazon. Oddly enough, "From Beyond" is listed as having a March 5th release date. I'm sure that will be corrected sooner rather than later.

Because Scream Factory doesn't have the rights to the first Phantasm.

Heavily rumored that Criterion holds the rights.

Timerider: The Adventure of Lyle Swann Blu-ray
I hope they include the ending that was missing from the TIMERIDER DVD, they totally cut out the Death by Helicopter scene.

Futureworld isn't a film I find terribly interesting but what DOES interest me is the out-of-left-field announcement. Was the film even rumored to be coming out through Shout? I'm just feeling good about the possibility of other non-Scream Factory MGM titles that might pop up out of nowhere. Oh, 2013 will be very, very interesting...

Shout is probably taking advantage of the fact that Westworld comes out next year which is smart. Nice surprise but I remember the film being a bit of a mess.

Locked all of Shout's pre-orders in today. Although, slighty off the topic of Blu-ray's it should be noted that Shout is putting out an "Action-Packed Movie Marathon" 2-Disc Collection on DVD. During my interview with Cliff he revealed that "Exterminator 2" (among many other things) was coming and that they had just completed an HD master of the film. Whether a Blu-ray release of that film comes is yet to be seen but at the very least it should look pretty good in this set.

The fans who say "I want Futureworld right after Westworld!" tend to be those who haven't actually SEEN the weaselly threadbare American Int'l B-cheapo pretender (think Superman IV vs. the first two), or heaven help us, think MGM actually made it.
Still it was available, and if it can be sold, why fight it? Better than having fans ask later.

Surely Exterminator 2 would do well on it's own? I have Eye of the Tiger and have no interest at all in the other two. That Exterminator 2 cover deserved full artwork.

I'm surprised this isn't being given its own release, especially as Shout has, as noted, just finished a HD master. Why go to that trouble and expense only to bury it on a 4-film DVD?

I love when Shout! does multi-feature movie sets. I'll never get rid of my "Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry"/"Race with the Devil" set.

Shout Factory needs to Release "Treasure of the Four Crowns" on DVD/Blu-Ray it's an MGM title that has never had a Descent Home Release, yes it was on VHS but mainly as a rental Copy and not for individual purchase. It was also released on VHD Video Disc (not laserdisc) and the quality on both was poor. And while they are at it they might as well make a BluRay 3-D Release

I'm a big fan myself of these collections, cult cinema is filled with as many treasures as there are duds but even knowing that, I still always want to get my hands on everything. Getting collections like these from a company who truly cares about the films at beyond reasonable prices is a win-win for everyone.

Every studio with a fairly decent mastering production is experimenting with at least one Blu 3D release (even Criterion got in the act)--
And seeing as how most of the Great 3-D of the '81-'83 Silver Age--most of which was Scream-capable B-SF/horror to begin with--is now either owned by MGM outright (Amityville 3D, Spacehunter), or acquired through MGM/Orion (Metalstorm, Starchaser, Crowns)....Shout, I TREMBLE at the gold mine you are sitting on, if you've got access to MGM's B-catalog and want to be adventurous with a Blu3D release or two.

Shout/Scream is all about cult-love, and there's no cult-love like 80's cult-love from a "persecuted" 3DTV owner.
