If Shout wanted to test the waters of 3D Blu-ray, even though I don't own a 3D TV just yet, I'd fully support them if they put something like "Amityville 3D" out. I can't see Universal licensing any of the "Jaws" sequels out regardless of their quality so I'm sure at some point we'll see them pop up.

Shout/Scream is all about cult-love, and there's no cult-love like 80's cult-love from a "persecuted" 3DTV owner.

Does Shout/Scream ever offer coupon codes to those with accounts and/or newsletter subscribers?

Thanks for the heads up on the Action set, Mike. I've never seen any of the films on there but the set still screams "Awesome!" - first day purchase.

Happy to spread the word out there, this looks like a really fun collection of titles. Here's hoping to even more in 2013!

I really enjoyed Futureworld and I am thrilled it is coming to Blu, Westworld simply rocks, to have both coming to blu is truly awesome!

Timerider will be a great addition as well, I really like what they are doing!

I would love to see these Martial Arts titles on blu:

Enter the Ninja

Revenge of the Ninja

Ninja III The Domination

Another must have horror thriller SPELLBINDER (MGM, 1988), hope they do it!

I'm not 100% sure what the future will hold for "Exterminator 2" on Blu-ray but like I mentioned Cliff did say that they just did an HD master of the film so if we only get the film in this DVD set it's bound to look pretty good.

Simply rumor. Another one I've heard is that David himself has the rights. Rumors, rumors..

Cyclone looked pretty awesome on MGMHD, so there is a decent HD master out there. I suspect it will not be coming to Blu-ray though

Since we may be getting a few MGM gems... when Turner Classic Movies played the 1984 'classic' Heavenly Bodies, it had the MGM intro. I'd take that even on DVD only

Has there been any talk of an Electric Dreams Blu-ray? At least the UK dvd is quite passable when played slowed down to the native framerate.

Regarding Timerider, the HD streaming version I watched on epix had the original ending, so it appears the HD master is not the chopped one used for the DVD. Definitely can't wait for this one!

After checking out the trailers for 3 of the four films in the Action-Packed set (couldn't find one for Cyclone, only a clip) all I can say is, Holy S--t! I want this now! This will become my next favorite Shout multi-pack. EYE OF THE TIGER looks to be the best of the bunch followed by Exterminator 2, although I'm not too crazy about Mario Van Peebles as the bad guy after having seen him in too many bad 90's movies . ALIENATOR will probably be the cheesiest flick but that doesn't bother me at all. CYCLONE also looks kick-ass. Can't wait for this!

TIMERIDER also looks like a lot of fun. Curious about the production company/distributor (Jensen-Farley) - didn't they also distribute BOOGENS and MADMAN? It's funny but even though you can watch some movies in their entirety on places like Youtube, I never get the urge to do so. A computer screen can never replace a fifty-inch TV.

It's one of the two last remaining VHS's on my shelf--since it's never even gone to US DVD or MOD--which I can only assume is due to music rights.
Otherwise, that and the Universal discussion had me wondering whether Shout might ever consider spinning off a new line of 80's Retro musicals. (Ie., let's not fool ourselves, Universal is never going to treat Xanadu right in our lifetime, but some cult-fan with access to Universal catalogue might.)

Are the original "The Fog", the original "Day of the Dead", and the 80's slasher "The Burning" going to be added to the database anytime soon? Shout! Factory has announced that they do intend to release them on Blu via Scream! Factory after all.

There, I added The Burning but I don't understand what the rush is since there's no release date, audio or video info, etc available yet. You could add them or other titles yourself you know.

*edit: Added DotD and The Fog as well.

You don't even need to do that. MGM-HD UK has been putting ELECTRIC DREAMS on a decent rotation, and it looks pretty damn good!:

Ah. So, apart from emigration, anything in THIS hemisphere, as opposed to where the Culture Club and Human League rights aren't tied up?...

Would anyone here know if any other Shout titles are going to come in the same style slipcovers as Halloween 2, 3, They Live, Funhouse and Terror Train?

I would imagine these will since they're Collector's Editions like those you mentioned: Prison, Deadly Blessing, Phantasm 2.

So far, the Collector's Editions featured custom art as their 'default' cover with the original art on the other side and a slip cover with the custom art.

In their initial announcement it said Day of the Dead... in a new collector's edition, so I'd figure that one will be as well. However it wouldn't surprise me if the big 6 that were announced, all ended up being collector's editions with slip covers, etc.

The big 6 will in fact all be Collector's Editions so we can all look forward to some more slipcover goodness
