Many of these films would be great but unfortunately the majority aren't very likely:

Phantasm (1979) - coming at some point along with Phantasm V but not sure what label will release these (Scream does make the most since seeing as they already released Phantasm II)
Fright Night Part 2 (1988) - rights holder unknown (possibly Lionsgate) - I desperately want this one on Blu-ray so hopefully it comes out sooner rather than later
Jaws 2 (1978) - I think this will happen eventually but 2017 at the earliest seeing as Universal just released this in May
Phantasm IV: Oblivion (1998) - probably coming with the other Phantasms
Prom Night II (1987) - was MGM so this is possible assuming they still are the rights holders
Hell Night (1981) - I believe a private individual is holding this one up for hopes of a remake (correct me if I'm wrong)
Night of the Living Dead (1968) - possible as this is in the public domain due to an error on the filmmaker's part upon release, this really deserves a better release, but not sure how the film elements are
Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead (1994) - probably coming with the other Phantasms
Jaws 3-D (1983) - again likely, but in 2017
Rabid (1977) - Lionsgate I believe
The 'Burbs (1989) - possible but again just released by Universal, 2017 is likely but Arrow could get this seeing as they released it in the UK
The Fly II (1989) - I think someone has this as Kino attempted to get it but were not able (it's very likely Scream or another label beat them to it)
Slither (2006) - likely at some point, has been often requested
Candyman (1992) - Sony, currently Scream doesn't work with Sony
House (1986) - part of the New World/Image catalog. Likely to be released by Arrow at some point, however they recently mentioned that don't have any immediate plans for it
Salem's Lot (1979 TV Movie) - Warner Bros, doesn't deal with Scream
Fright Night (1985) - still with Twilight Time at the moment
Poltergeist III (1988) - very likely at some point
Howard the Duck (1986) - not really Scream Material, possibly Shout of Shout Selects at some point, but 2017 at earliest seeing as Universal just put this out themselves
Poltergeist II: The Other Side (1986) - very likely at some point
The Hitcher (1986) - I believe this is a HBO controlled film, not sure who controls that catalog
The Faculty (1998) - Miramax, so I assume Lionsgate
C.H.U.D. (1984) - Lionsgate
April Fool's Day (1986) - Paramount (so far no deals with Scream)
Bubba Ho-Tep (2002) - not sure what is holding this one up as it was an MGM title
Saturday the 14th (1981) - Lionsgate I think
The Stepford Wives (1975) - Paramount
Wishmaster (1997) - Lionsgate
Blood Beach (1980) - Not sure on this one
Theatre of Blood (1973) - coming from Twilight Time in September
Waxwork (1988) - Lionsgate
Tales from the Hood (1995) - Scream has noted issues with acquiring this one multiple times, probably still a no go
Alligator (1980) - Lionsgate
Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth (1992) - Lionsgate
Alice Sweet Alice (1976) - not sure
Brain Dead (1990) - Lionsgate (Peter Jackson was supposedly going to remaster his early films and get them released, not sure if this is still the plan)
Maximum Overdrive (1986) - Lionsgate I think
Necronomicon: Book of Dead (1993) - not sure
Trick or Treat (1986) - Lionsgate
The Legend of Boggy Creek (1972) - not sure, Scream released a couple other films by this director so not sure what is holding this one up
Return of the Living Dead Part II (1988) - Warner Bros
Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984) - Lionsgate I think
Creepshow (1982) - Warner Brothers
Critters (1986) - New Line, so I think Warner now controls that catalog
Shock Treatment (1981) - Fox (Scream hasn't done a deal with them in a while)
Silver Bullet (1985) - Paramount
From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) - Lionsgate
Chopping Mall (1986) - Lionsgate
Dawn of the Dead (1978) - private individual wants insane amount of money for the rights
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes! (1978) - not sure who has the rights to this as it desperately needs re-released, the DVD Is long OOP

Please correct me if I'm mistaken on any of my annotations, but just going from memory, the majority of these are very unlikely.

Lionsgate has The Faculty; they released their disc to it when they took over the Miramax catalogue from Echo Bridge. I don't think we'll see anything happen with this film, since Lionsgate rarely ever licenses titles out.

Anchor Bay has this one.

Alice Sweet Alice is with Warner
Fright Night II - no longer with LG, I heard with the producer..
CHUD is with Image, not LG
Maximum Overdrive is with Lionsgate
The Hitcher is with Warner, they have the HBO library
Silent Night Deadly Night is on bluray from Anchor Bay
Many if not all the Paramount titles are with Warner until the end of this year. From there Warner may renew or not renew their deal.
Chopping Mall is coming from Lionsgate according to Jim Wynorski

Looking closer at this list I do see two titles not currently on blu ray which I was told are coming, but haven't been officially announced. And neither are with Scream or Shout Factory. Something to look forward to

Boxing Helena might be something Scream could release, but I highly doubt it'd get a Collector's Edition. They'd most likely just release an HD-master with a few interviews as special features.

Keep in mind that the top 50 is a wish list so of course many (if not all) of the titles are unavailable, but Scream might surprise us in the future of might have done impossible tasks, but still want to listen what people voted for the most and that maybe something in that list is what is being released, if you want I could list the top 250 for more options or you can look at the list yourself and make a guess from the entire list of over 1700 title requests, either way I'll be happy with what ever is announced,

What would be great is if the OP of this thread took all the titles people are asking about and just listed them in order with simple answers to what studio has the current rights and how they relate to Scream!/Shout! like LeeFanatic did above. That way people would be able to find answers a lot more easier than just always asking here =)

There are still a lot of lesser asked titles I'd love to see released, but was told they were unavailable at some point in the past few years. I could never remember what the specific reasons were given to me, so every once in a while I'll just ask again, lol:

Guyver 1
Guyver 2
Warlock
Warlock 2
Meet the Applegates
The Hidden
Cool World
The next three Hellraisers after part 3 (Bloodlines (recut would be great!), Inferno, Hellseeker)
Azumi (foreign Japanese, but yea.. foreign)
Near Dark
Innocent Blood

For an easier answer, if it's owned by Warner, Paramount/Lionsgate, or Sony it's simply not happening

A bunch of these are with Lionsgate who dont license to anyone, the ones I know being the Warlock films and Near Dark. (and I think the Hellraiser sequels?)
Cool World is with Paramount who also dont have a working relationship with Scream either.
You might see that one come from Olive if they're interested.

Someone asked the Kino rep on their thread about this and he replied it was with another label. My money is on Olive Films.

The ones in bold are with Warner brothers. The Hellraiser movies post part III are either with Miramax , Echo Bridge or Lionsgate..which is bad news no matter how you look at it. Cool World is a Paramount title that might be with Warner until the end of the year. I kept hearing LG lost the rights to Near Dark. Hopefully whatever they do lose the rights to, they wont renew

It doesnt matter what gets voted for or if it will help *Shout listen* because if they cant get them, they cant get them. We can only hope for rights to expire on some titles before Shout can swipe them which was the case with the Morgan Creek titles

If they made another deal with Fox I don't see why not, but that might be a better fit for the Shout Select line (which already has one Carpenter title).

I'm guessing Fox will do that (and maybe a UHD) when the remake is released.

Cliff Cmac said Fox is holding on tight to that. I heard that they dont have any Fox deals at the time but that doesnt mean there wont be one again or anything.

I don't think this will be a comic con announcement, but I wonder how long it will be before a single edition of the Nightbreed Theatrical Cut will be issued by shout. If they have the Morgan Creek library it stands to reason that they would put the theatrical cut out as a stand alone title at some point.

I also expect that Ace Ventura 1 & 2 will make their way into the Shout Select line in 2017 at some point as well.

I would be surprised if they even bothered. They sold 10,000 of the LE set, and I'm guessing at least that many of the standard edition.

Ugh. They better let go of it. That is the kind of movie that lends itself to great extras, and Fox, while at least having a good for 2009 transfer and some minor extras (the commentary is great, but carried over), surely would just give us the exact same disc with a big 30TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION on the cover if they don't license it out.

I got Arrow's version, which has much better extras, but it does have the same transfer as the US disc. Fox needs to stand down!
