Producer Richard Rubinstein owns these films. Scream has already gone on record saying unless he becomes reasonable with his asking price we will never see these by a smaller label like SF, Arrow, etc. It costs thousands of dollars just to screen Dawn of the Dead publicly, which is why it's extremely rare. He also just spent over a couple million dollars to convert DotD to 3D because that was necessary...

Is there anything wrong with the Klowns blu ray? I own it, but I haven't watched it.

Ive heard Blue Underground lost the rights to the Blind Dead movies..

No, but fans want Scream treatment for that one, and Misery. They are possible. Dawn of the Dead and Martin are longshots.. The Night Flier I think is possible as well.

I believe Mark Pavia also hinted at a Night Flier Blu-Ray release when he appeared on the Shock Waves podcast in support of Fender Bender.

Mark Pavia did say there might be something coming with in the next year. It's not impossible but I just don't expect Rubenstein to change his ways any time soon. Maybe he's feeling a little more heat since Zombi is getting the 4K UHD treatment in Europe, while not exactly the same it's driving interest up in DotD quite a bit.

I've never seen Martin, I would love for my first time to be from a fantastic restoration. This is one of those films that I've wanted to see since I discovered who Romero was but never tried to track down.

Not at all. I have little to no desire to double dip that one, but I fully expect Scream Factory to release it hence why it was in my predictions. Personally I'd wish Scream Factory would go away from the re-releases for the next several months but that's just me.

I definitely think Dawn of the Dead and Martin are possible, at some point.. Id really would like to see some Paul Naschy Werewolf films..limited editions or otherwise. At least give one of them a test run!

I def. think this will be their next thing to get the DELUXE treatment like Carrie or The Thing.

I haven't gotten around to buying the original release of Klowns so if SF does put it out ill buy it.

It doesn't have a slipcover

In all seriousness, I would likely pass on post -1990 titles, particularly the Child's Play sequels; was never a big fan of those. The Universal box set will suffice for me . A Misery Collector's Edition makes sense and it's actually overdue for an announcement. And since SF licensed CARRIE I'd assume anything is fair game so SILENCE OF THE LAMBS and the sequel are big candidates as well.

If Universal titles are on the table, I'd LOVE an Extended (Uncensored) edition of WATERWORLD, as unlikely as that may be . Wouldn't mind a CE of STICK (1985) and ICEMAN (1984).

From Fox, The Fly (1986) and The Fly II with new 2K scans would be awesome.

Also, since SONY is allowing UK labels to produce extras now maybe a similar scenario will play out here. Licensing Sony titles here was never a problem, except the studio didn't want anyone creating extras - that has apparently changed, at least in the UK. That's a valuable library worth pursuing and SF could use some fresh material.

Yeah you expect them to just finish off 'upgrading' the big MGM titles now: Killer Klowns, Misery, Hannibal, Last House on the Left, Silence of the Lambs (if they can get it) and Hannibal (providing they get Silence I guess). Would they consider Teen Wolf, I don't know. I guess if they did it would probably be in conjunction with a separate release of Teen Wolf Too.

I think Killer Klowns and Last House on the Left are going to be announced (but I wouldn't double dip on them). My fingers are crossed for Slither and Cry Wolf.

Id rather see Slither and a Naschy werewolf film over Killer Klowns, just my taste. If Shout feels like they can really upgrade Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal and Misery with their Scream treatment then they will.. those will be good sellers for them.

I can't imagine them ever giving Teen Wolf Too a separate release, but I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Love that wretched flick even more than the original.

Yeah a double feature is possible I suppose. I guess it also depends on how well those comedy double features did for Scream (I speculate not too well, given that we haven't seen much in the way of comedy since)

Criterion made it a point to mention the Hopkins-Foster commentary when announcing their streaming service, so it wouldn't surprise me if they are taking care of Silence of the Lambs.

Though I would love Hannibal.

My Guesses: Killer Klowns, a Child's Play sequel, and maybe The Fly II
