Scream Factory Blu-ray Discussion Thread

i'm glad Scream is responding to this the way that they are, i just hope in the future none of this is necessary.

This may be just me, but I really want a scream factory release for A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. 2017 is the 30th annoversary Dream Warriors, which I blieve to be the most creative Nightmare movie, and I thought a good way to put it alone on blu ray for the first time as a single release is a scream factory realease. I feel like there can be some really cool cover art such as Freddy as a puppet, Freddy Snake, Freddy's head coming out of the TV, and when Freddy is a holding Phillip with stings. It just seems like with such a creative movie a creative cover can be made, and I'd love to have a poster for it. I know it won't but I really wish that there is a slim chance someone who works for Shout Factory reads this and actually makes it happen, probably not.

As DetroitSportsFan pointed out this sadly isn't possible right now. The good news however is that if Scream Factory is ever presented the opportunity it's a guarenteed done deal that they'll release The Nightmare Series, Friday the 13th Series, and other franchise films. The Freddy series more than most others deserve better editions than what is currently on the market. Being relegated to the decent but not great collection is no way to treat the franchise. There is also enough cut footage for several of the films to warrant a double dip. Sadly it's all still a dream.

It was a post by artist Joel Robinson saying that he just turned in his 15th SF collector's edition cover, and that he couldn't say what it was, but it's an anthology film and Spike Lee was the executive producer 😎

Unless you bought the Halloween collection or Army of Dead immediately upon release, corrected versions were released to retail channels. Both can be identified by looking at a few areas on the disc/package. If I remember correctly the disc for Halloween 4 won't match the other discs from the set if you have the corrected edition. Army of Darkness has a "V2" qualifier in the fine print on the back of the packaging and on the affected disc. Before contacting Scream Factory I'd inspect the editions you have.

There was, I don't know if they're still doing the replacement. When I first watched it I actually corrected it using my blu-ray player audio sync settings, so if you can do that you don't absolutely need it.

Clearly the replacement is more convenient. If you preordered it, you might have this issue. Anything for sale now should be fixed.

If I remember correctly you have to go to Anchor Bay for the replacement disc of H4 not SF.

Was it confirmed that every H4 disc was defective? It was an actual mistake in the mastering that was pressed to every disc? Because I checked out the 46 minute mark on the H4 copy in my limited deluxe edition (15 disc), and I didn't notice a thing. Disc has the same art as the other discs. I bought my set from Amazon.ca, but it should be the same thing.

Your player/receiver may automatically be correcting the issue. From what I remember reading when the set was released a few folks claimed to not notice the issue because of their set-ups.
