I like the new art work but I will always prefer the original covers because these are the images that stick in my head from the VHS days and being a kid at the movies and seeing these posters on the wall.

I was about to make the obvious "Eww, you mean black cases like icky ol' DVD's used to have? " joke, but wow, they do look pretty darn spiffy on shelves with the metallic Blu-ray logo and the original artwork.

I'd go for this new-meets-retro look for the company over the blue-case and heavy-metal T-shirt look.
We've now got too many cheap companies making B-movies in regular blue cases (who wants to be mistaken for an Asylum disk?), Scream's lineup deserves a little collector-niche class.

anyone remember the special on fox that was the supposedly found footage of aliens taking a family off a farm? first the lights go out and they try to go to their car but the motor is melted and then when it ends the last kid runs to his room and the door slams and standing behind the door was a grey alien? lol i wish i could buy that on dvd or blu ray.


anyway i would love some hellraiser from scream and a house double bill sounds great to me.

incident at lake county! saw that on TV one night many years ago, was freaking awesome.

sorry, you'll need to buy them on your own. we'd have to buy them in large quantities to get them at a good price. So, you end up having to put out a lot of money for pallets of cases that sit in a warehouse...which you need to pay storage on.

Cliff, I assume it would be too cost-prohibitive to put the 'COLLECTOR'S EDITION' and 'BLU-RAY + DVD COMBO PACK' banners on a sticker, so that they could be removed and wouldn't clutter up the artwork?

Tad bit too over the top for my tastes, but still will enjoy the option of being able to flip the cover.

My understanding is it'll be a May title, along with The Evictors/Town That Dreaded Sundown double feature

I don't find it horrendous, but a little disappointing. The art itself is pretty good, but I think it takes some mystery away from the movie and is a bit overcrowded. I love the blood river and the rear view of Cropsy and with the shears, but I wish they sky was a different color, blue perhaps and that his face was removed from the image and maybe move the other face up on the image.

I don't know, something like that.

It looks like the red river is flowing from Cropsy's mouth, like some demented Disney ride!

I'm intrigued to see what the Day of the Dead cover looks like.

Personally, I love all the retro posters that are being used, and I doubt any of the artwork will persuade me to not flip the cover, BUT! I do appreciate the art regardless.
