I picked up Sleepaway Camp 1-3, Phantasm II and Texas Chainsaw Massacre II from the Target sale. 5 new Scream Factory releases added. That's a total of 34 Scream Factory films if you include the 15 disc Halloween collection and my pre-orders of Streets of Fire and Colors. =)

Thanks for the heads up on the Target Sale! Pre-ordered Serial Mom and Psycho, and finally took the plunge on Sleepaway Camp 2 & 3. Figured getting one free (I bought 2 other non-SF releases) was worth the plunge.
How do 2 & 3 compare to other slashers? I must say I find the first film rather dull up until the last half hour, but I do like it. I'm a sucker for 80's slashers in general. |

I think I might like the Sequels better outside on the twist from the original. They're a product of their time. Regan era horror films. Angela Baker basically becomes a psychotic Jessie Spano. Last edited by rocknblues81; 02-17-2017 at 10:36 PM. |

Babes in Toyland (March of The Wooden Soldiers) which was originally distributed by MGM sort of counts as being "officially" owned by MGM as well due to being public domain (theoretically in this case, Warner and MGM both have "official" rights). The rights to Network are shared between Warner and MGM due to the film being a co-production with the latter and United Artists with Warner handling US rights and MGM handling international rights (ironically, Warner owns the MGM copyright and MGM owns the UA copyright). This also implies for That's Entertainment Part III but in this case, all MGM co-owns is the copyright with Turner/Warner having all other rights. Also to note, it's the only film in the post-86 MGM library that Warner owns. |

Went to see AMERICAN FABLE tonight, which is an IFC Midnight release.
I'm curious if Scream will be releasing it. While it isn't a horror film necessarily, this quiet coming-of-age story has enough tension and thriller elements that would fit in with the label. It's a very impressive debut, very assured and polished, beautifully shot with some lovely camerawork, and a couple of excellent performances (great child star and supporting work by Richard Schiff). It's a little choppy at times, but considering its the first foray into feature directing for Anne Hamilton some of that can be forgiven. It is an ambitious but restrained work, with influences from Malick (in the landscapes), del Toro (in some of the fantasy elements, though not overly so), and Gilliam (Tideland came to mind, actually). If Scream does release this, I def. recommend a purchase. I'd say it's the best IFC Midnight release since THE HALLOW. Otherwise, I'd say check it out on demand. |

I am trying to complete my Collector's Edition series with slipcover and I am only missing a few. Where are the best places to look except for amazon and eBay?
Missing ones: Night of the Demons (Collector’s Edition) Prince of Darkness (Collector’s Edition) Day of the Dead (Collector’s Edition) The Howling (Collector’s Edition) Body Bags (Collector’s Edition) Halloween II (Collector’s Edition) |

Target is having a buy 2 get 1 free sale going on (ends tonight). You might not get slips but you'll get a pretty good deal on the movies. You can always find someone later that sells their slips. |

Do you know before you order or you only find out when you receive them?

Companies selling on ebay are a gamble when it comes to slipcovers. However, over the past several months, I've received copies of Psycho II, Psycho III, Prince of Darkness, and From Beyond with slips intact. In fact, the only Collector's Editions I own that don't have slips are They Live and The Fog. I bought those from Barnes and Noble and Amazon, respectively.
