Anyways, for the upgrade hungry people there are more than enough titles that will probably inevitably be coming from Scream on that front.

Well I can personally guarantee at least definite sales. So that's like $120. Solid!

The few Naschy films I've seen are like Hammer films on LSD. I found them a lot of fun, but they definitely won't be everyone's cup of tea.

It is a strange time for me as a Blu collector (mostly horror). I have titles like Serial Mom and Psycho (1998) preordered. I'm not remotely interested in anything else coming from Scream (or Vestron/the other lines). In a way, I'm relieved. But I can't say I don't miss the excitement of Scream's releases the past two years since I've started collecting. 2016 was an especially fantastic year. Of everything released or hinted at by any of the lines, the only film left that I'm excited to see released is Humongous.

I'm happy Scream Factory is branching out and getting some obscure films out there, and don't think this is a death sentence for them as a line. It is inevitable that there will be lulls like this, I realize. I'm not going to love/want to buy every film they release!

The content seems great but to me the set itself is not very attractive. I don't like that five different films are in one keep case with only one new artwork. I love the classic artworks and would have preferred a box with individual keep cases for each movie with the classic artwork on the reverse of each case (like Arrow's House set or Well Go's Phantasm set).
The reversible covers with original artwork is what makes Shout's or Arrow's releases so great and collectible. Sadly this is missing here.

There's still stuff I'm waiting for them to announce. Cry Wolf still seems very reasonable. I'd like to see the Skulls released, and even the not so great sequels. Similar to the Species movies, part 1 collectors edition, part 2 & 3 as a double. The Watcher (2000) hasn't been released on blu as far as I know - I could see them doing that. I'd buy all of the above.

In terms of pre-orders and stuff they already have, I'm in for Pink Panther set, Firestarter, Tales from the Hood, Virus, Psycho, Lawnmower man, and probably going to get Where the Buffalo Roam.

I think Sony would be a great connect for them. Waiting for a few titles from that vault and its stuff I don't think Twilight would go after. Plus Twilight isn't very accessible up here in Canada for a reasonable amount so I'm not a fan.

it's the same with the Vincent Price sets. it's just how they do things.

They're not going to do an elaborate box set for Naschy films. The sales just wouldn't worth the effort and expense.

Agree with this. Some people don't care about presentation but I think creative packaging is part of the reason why collecting is so much fun. If it were just about the movies we would all be streaming. I really believe there would me much more enthusiasm for this if there was a fancy set with individual cases and cool commissioned art and not just a single case with hinges for "extraneous" discs. This not only minimizes the release but it's also boring and generic-looking. Let's face it, Shout isn't releasing this for the masses - they're doing it for fans and collectors. We like it when they go the extra mile

The Watcher was released on BD by Universal a couple of years ago.

You are correct, thank you. Didn't know that. Might have to get this.

I am pretty happy with companies making that decision to save shelf space. After close to 2 decades of DVD/Blu ray collecting, my shelves need to be trimmed down. Any space I can save by getting a collection in a small keep case (like Lionsgate Leprachaun box set) is good for me. I am running out of wall space to add more shelving.

I have 10 shelves myself and Im running out of space somewhat. Thank God when some label announces I title I have on DVD so I can remove it from the shelf. One DVD off the shelf i most cases is two blu-rays (without the slipcovers though)

one of the reasons to make an upgrade is the smaller size of the standard blu-ray case. can be a huge difference maker.

I've started utilizing the tops of my cases to "showcase" bulky box sets as well. It especially is great for those old Warner sets that all have individual discs (Hitchcock, Thin Man, those gangster sets, Lewton).

It had been - then I discovered a lot of great films which I added on top of what I already own , hence over 3000 movies and TV shows

This is one of the reasons I wish some label would release the entire Mr. Moto series ( 2 DVD Box sets) and some of the Charlie Chan sets. Another reason I want Warner to step it up as well. I want a Thin Man box set too in HD

Ive been using the tops of my shelves for years with box sets. The only minus is they get dusty faster

I'm running out of room so quickly that the tops of my shelves are reserved for overflow.

And as fast as I free up space by selling off older titles or stuff I don't want, the space gets filled up as quickly.
