Species cover art isn't the awful floating heads that have become the norm from SF. It's not amazing but it's decent.

As far as I can ascertain, BCI originally licenced and released 9 titles from Victory, with the intention of licencing and releasing a further 9 if these sold well. I think they licenced them but did not release all of them due to poor sales. In any case, I think these are 17 of the 18 in question:

Vengeance of the Zombies
Horror Rises from the Tomb
Blue Eyes of the Broken Doll
Night of the Werewolf
Human Beasts

The Hunchback of the Morgue
Devil's Possessed
A Dragonfly for Each Corpse
Exorcismo
The Werewolf and the Yeti
The Night of the Sorcerers
The Loreley's Grasp

Count Dracula's Great Love
The Dracula Saga
Malenka
Demon Witch Child
Night of the Walking Dead (AKA Strange Loves of the Vampire)

I wasn't able to find the last title, but apparently there are no HD masters for the bottom 3 (and possibly also The Dracula Saga), so I doubt Scream would go for them. Best bet might be Vinegar Syndrome in those instances.

well, Code Red released Demon Witch child on a double feature DVD a couple years back and VS has released a few older Code Reds on blu-ray, so there's a definite possibility there.

It's currently with Paramount so theoretically someone could release it if Paramount signed new licensing agreements. At the moment the future of the Paramount catalog is up in the air, but I imagine we'll have a better idea of what's going on by mid summer.

I suspect Olive will be the ones who could tap into more of Paramount's mass since they already have a deal with them.

That would be awesome. It would be great if they could scare up an interview or two about that movie, too, since it's so, uh, unusual.

After watching Psycho II today I've finally created a Scream/factory category in my collection. They're probably my favorite company releasing blus at this point alongside Criterion.

My collection is small, but it will grow

Just watched The Four Skulls of Jonathan Drake and The Screaming Skull on Prime tonight and I have to say for 1950's horror they are pretty good. Not scary by any means but both were highly enjoyable. The shrunken heads were super cool. Still on the fence about picking these titles up (not sure how many times I would actually rewatch) but still really fun and highly recommended esp if you have Prime they are free lol

With Slither now announced, it would be good if Scream finished the July slate with The Bat People and Vicious Lips, so then we'd have a pretty clean slate going forward, bar the two Teen Wolf films coming in August. I imagine we can expect a few new announcements soon.

I love it. I love the first 3 Psycho films equally. The 3rd one is extremely underrated.

I have a feeling Arrow will be the ones to snag the rights to Suspiria, my white whale. Maybe the first Candyman will be the big one for Scream. Cemetery Man, Opera, Phenomena, a non-crappy version of The Faculty or Dusk Till Dawn. oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I just re watched Candyman the other night, it had been a decade or more since my last viewing & man is that film beautifully shot. I really hope SF gets a hold of it and releases it, that would make my year.

I think I saw Lady in White as a kid in the 80s but I don't remember a thing about it. Looks like it got a pretty good review on here. Is it worth a blind buy?
