But they could, at minimum, have included trailer galleries for the other 50's titles, plus the Trailers from Hell versions for all of these.
I can't hear about this sale I didn't take any part of anymore. The whole thing just makes me sad.

I've PM'ed you high-resolution photos of both the discs in question and my Target receipts for them. Enjoy!

Is it upscaled or just SD? I'm just curious how it compares to their DVD release of the episode.

For anyone who is planning on picking up Tales from the Hood you are in for a real treat. This is literally one of the best transfers I've seen from Scream Factory and the supplements are really good. There's an hour long documentary

It is just in SD according to the Special Features listing on the case, I haven't looked at it yet.

The doc was pretty ok, though sometimes the talking heads wold go into plot summary of the individual tales. I'm curious why it never mentioned Spike Lee at all, though. I'm wondering if Lee requested this because I'm sure the Scream guys tried to get in touch with him at some point.

Did Spike Lee actually have any connection to the film? I was under the impression that it was produced by his production company and his name was listed as an exec producer for marketing purposes, but I didn't think he actually had anything to do with it specifically.

He iS shown in the "vintage featurette" extra on the release, so I'm really unsure.

Many elements of the film certainly feel like something Lee would interested in beyond simply being used for marketing reasons.

Wouldn't a "vintage featurette" be something that was produced at the time for marketing purposes?

I suppose, though he has a little talking head bit which I would say already involves more involvement than just being a name on a poster.

But I don't really know. I thought it interesting he was never mentioned, but I also don't know the history of the production. It would certainly not be the first time someone has refused to participate in a release, so I didn't know if that was the case here. Though you could be right as well.

Lee got the money for the film together, served as the executive producer, and promoted the film (in a limited capacity.). Lee is not the type of person to promote something that he doesn't want to promote. He will get behind it or blast it. That is the Lee way.

Sorry if it seems argumentative, I'm curious too. Google shows me nothing specific about any involvement Lee had, but it is a complete lack of information, so that's hardly definitive at all.

Can you point to examples of movies that he produced and wound up "blasting"? As much I want to believe Spike Lee has the sort of artistic credibility that you grant him, this is a guy who does Capital One commercials for TV.

Got EXTERMINATOR 2 today. I thought this was a Scream release. It just has the regular Shout logo everywhere.

Not that this matters, I'm just surprised.

Yeah, I saw that on the Scream Factory Facebook page. "Although it may not be branded as a "Scream Factory" title, we figured there's likely some crossover audience play on EXTERMINATOR 2."

Strange that they would give Robocop 2/3 the Scream Factory label and not Exterminator 2. Like you said though, not like it matters.

Has there been any word as to whether or not we'll see a remaster of the first film, The Exterminator, any time soon?

I've heard that the existing Blu-ray is not bad, but I'm sort of holding my horses before buying The Exterminator 2. (I'm not sure why...just my OCD tendencies at work.)

I saw The Exterminator 2 when I was a teenager, and I loved it.
[Show spoiler]Except for a pivotal sequence where the otherwise capable villain talks too much and doesn't do himself any favors.

When it comes to borderline titles that are well-known/popular, like the Robocop sequels, Mad Max, and Escape from New York, they err on the side of CE slipcovers.

I think the Sci-Fi element (or lack thereof in Exterminator 2's case) was probably the deciding factor.

Though CLASS OF 1984 made the cut.

What I want to know is, why is there a trademark symbol after the Exterminator title on the cover? I didn't realize this was a household name or some corporate brand. Just find that interesting since there were only 2 films made. It's not like this was a franchise.
