Many people put titles they're just a little interested in into their wishlist. I know that I have titles in my wishlist that I'll probably never buy unless they're dirt cheap.

Using The Screaming Skull example again, it has close to a 50/50 split between in collections and wishlist. They Live's ratio is nowhere near that.

Unfortunately, accurate counts would take a lot more work. Nobody expects you to do it.

Can someone please let me know the company(s) listed on the back covers of the WILLARD and BEN DVD/Bluray combos or post a picture of the back covers? I'm dying to know who licensed these films to Scream.

They Live is one I never even considered purchasing before. Any particular reason it would be so popular?

It's a good movie It's also been out for a long time now. Lot's of opportunities for people to find it for a good price.

Ok, maybe I went and adjusted my wishlist, and other non-owned, categories to a value of zero, and thought it was the other way around.

Many reasons:
1. It's a solid film.
2. Roddy Piper puts on an incredible performance (some may have grabbed this in tribute when he passed away).
3. Carpenter has a loyal following.
4. It is a great release.
5. The fight in the alley.
6. It goes on sale frequently.

They Live is a timeless classic that is even more socially relevant now in 2017 than it was upon its release. It appeals to everyone who wants to go against the grain and challenge the common mantras of a society where people often feel as though they are part of a soulless corporate machine. Since the release of the film, internet use has become prominent, and the annoying marketing aspects of the phenomenon conjure the same imagery that is experienced in that story.

Even more than that, though, it's just a hella fun action/sci-fi movie.

It's actually somewhat known by the mainstream. I regularly see images from it posted in articles or references to it on non-genre sites. It's kind of the go-to movie if a writer wants to make a movie reference to advertising/media brainwashing, particularly of the conservative variety (since it was a scathing, yet funny, attack on reaganism, sort of like Robocop but in a different way).

It took me a few viewings to warm to They Live. If you find that you didn't care for it on your first viewing give it a second shot at the least.

It's one of the ten biggest movies in the collection, and unlike Halloween, The Thing, Mad Max, EfNY, and Army of Darkness it only has this one release

...plus its one of the first titles so it has had plenty of time to accumulate sales

I might have to add another number to the collection tally then. I love the JC films I have, but never bothered with the films that seemed more "action" than "horror". I've never seen or heard of They Live, but clearly it has its fans!

Again, it's mainstream famous and some of it has been absorbed into the lexicon. You'll probably recognize some scenes/lines/concepts from it when you watch it.

I saw it when I was young, so I remember the big one for me was "I'm here to kick ass and chew bubblegum, and I'm all out of gum" due to its very prominent usage in Duke Nukem 3D! That game sure was cool back when I was about 12. :P

It should have a slipcase like the Vincent Price Collections had.

What was the packaging on that Larry Fassenden set like? I'd assume it would be like whatever that was since they're similar profile. For all I know it was the same as the VP sets!
