Slip Box over a multi-disc viva case.

I have to say I would love a SF sale right about now. Many "on the fence" titles I would pull the trigger on!

I visited a used movie store down the street earlier today during lunch, and found Blacula/Scream Blacula Scream for $11.99.

I've been meaning to buy this one for ages, so I'm glad to mark it off of my list at long last.

Let's hope all those $12.99 Amazon CE deals from a year ago come back very soon...

Off topic, but the Fessenden Collection is by far the most underrated SF title IMO.

Would people prefer that the catalog and IFC/Chiller/contemporary stuff be separated in the OP? I honestly only care about the former, and hate having to weed out the new stuff when going through the list

Maybe it's just me

Some of the modern titles are really enjoyable, nice way to find gems. I can see the logic behind separating them, though.

I wouldn't, but that's mostly because I don't want to be the one that makes judgment calls over what should be considered contemporary and what shouldn't.

If you go down this path then I think you just keep it simple... IFC/Chiller releases go in one group (I'd also add Fender Bender). Everything else goes in another.

Right now the benefit for keeping things all grouped together is that everything is roughly in release order.

Since Arrow is releasing Shock Treatment in the UK, any chance it could be coming from either Scream Factory or Shout Select?

Don't get me wrong, I love The Babadook and The Editor. But it just feels like two separate entities

Contemporary would be anything that is basically not catalog

Amazon.ca currently has a bunch of the older Shout/Scream flicks for $17.99 CDN. With the US dollar being so strong, some really good deals (unless shipping screws up the deal)

I'd think it's either Shout or Kino since Donnie Darko showed a work relationship between Arrow USA & Fox and Shock Treatment is, regrettably, a U.K. only title.

Just a heads up for anyone who might own the UK region free blu ray release for Serial Mom. You might want to hang on to it. It's just been reported that there is a transfer defect on the Scream Factory release (what else is new). It's reported on the thread for the Scream Factory release. Looks like Scream Factory lost out on my money because I just purchased the UK region free edition instead.

Donnie Darko was not licensed to Arrow by Fox, in either the UK or the US.

So as I understand it, one frame is affected?

One Frame? Seriously? As in One Frame out of 24 frames per second? In other words this "Defect" occurs faster than a person can blink if I'm understanding this correctly.

I have the Eureka release and it was really worthwhile. I love that the films are not send-ups of the genre, and William Marshall brings genuine gravitas to the part. I like the second film more, it has an IMO more ambitious plot and PAM GRIER
This would make for an interesting quadruple bill with the (charming but inferior) Count Yorga movies.

In this day and age where nearly everything gets a re-released special edition, I'm surprised The Frighteners hasn't got one yet!
