One other MOD is Old Dracula. It's a comedy, and terrible, but it would fit the Scream mold if they were desperate enough.

Yeah I forgot to add the note by The Ambulance for some reason, I'd be very surprised if that one wasn't with Scream. Not sure if he said that about The Caller, I'll have to go back and check.

EDIT: I just checked, MisterLime shot down The Caller back in February, though I noticed a couple of posts prior he also said The Hunting Party was with another label and Kino are releasing that in July, so I guess it shows how quickly things can change.

Don't forget Blue Steel. MisterLime also said another label had it, though he said that a long time ago. I hope Olive doesn't have it - I hate that their BDs are mostly barebones.

There were some reports that Blue Steel was no longer with MGM, not sure how true that is but I'd have thought we'd have seen it by now.

MisterLime had mentioned something about it a few years back in the Kino thread:

I'm not sure what specific clearance issues it had. The film was produced by Scotti Brothers Pictures, a short lived company whose assets were eventually acquired by MGM somewhere around the turn of the millennium, no later than July 2000. This was a title where previous home video releases had been handled by Lionsgate and it's predecessor company, LIVE. Lionsgate, apparently, still had an active license for the film at least as recently as 2005, when they released it on DVD.

Blue Steel was a Vestron Pictures production. I think those titles have all reverted back to Lionsgate.

Blue Steel has a stellar German Concorde blu ray that's region free with one of the best blu ray transfers I've seen. Frankly any company in the US that gets Blue Steel will have to atleast use that transfer or try some way to beat it but I highly recommend that Concorde release.

After Midnight is a really enjoyable horror anthology movie, i saw it last year. Interestingly the brothers who made it Ken & Jim Wheat only directed 2 other movies one of them being a relatively obscure corker called Lies (1985) which has a similar premise to the movies My Name Is Julia Ross (1945) & Dead Of Winter (1987)....how i would love to own that movie on blu ray!
A Quiet Place In The Country whilst definately not as good as some other Elio Petri films i've seen is still worth checking out. I do love the strange & surreal atmosphere of it. Plus it stars Franco Nero.
Haven't seen the other 2 but i do love a good 70's tv movie so i may pick up The Spell.

Hrm, After Midnight has Pamela Adlon in the wrap-around segments. I'm guessing she doesn't get to do anything amusing in any way, but hey! Will be weird to see her so young. I will watch pretty much any anthology movie (even though The Dark Tapes just made me question that behavior).

Great to see Scream Factory give TV horror a chance again with The Spell. I'd love to see many TV films from the Universal catalogue including Dark Secret of Harvest Home with Bette Davis.

I read that novel last year and loved it, so I second this request.

Voodoo Island (1957)
Attack of the Puppet People (1958) (licenced, not with Kino)
Konga (1961)
J.D.'s Revenge (1976)
The Attic (1980)
Clownhouse (1989) (never happening)
Night Visitor (1989)

Buried Alive (1990)

Panga (1991)
Dance Macabre (1992)

J.D's Revenge and The Attic seem long overdue at this point; I know the former needs a new HD master, perhaps that was holding up the latter also. I suspect most of the licenced titles are with Scream, especially the 70s and 80s ones.
Love J.D.'s Revenge! That is an absolute must! Someone needs to release that ASAP.

I would love to watch Buried Alive again. Remember seeing that on TV as a kid. Definitely stuck with me all these years. Hopefully they can get some insight from Darabont.

There's going to be a big sale next month. According to Jeff from SF, their "most aggressive sale ever".

I'll believe it when I see. Shout Factory has some of the most "eh, really?" sales of any company.

Love me some Lee Grant and Chris Sarandon, so The Spell and The Resurrected will be mine. Nice announcements!

With the MGM titles dwindling, I'm hoping they'll release Larry Cohen's Full Moon High and Wicked Stepmother.

I'm really surprised that people are not more excited about The Resurrected, it's been a while but I remember really enjoying that one and will definitely be picking that up. Interested in After Midnight and I don't know much about the other two but I'm curious.

Oooh, The Resurrected ... I love me some H.P. Lovecraft, so I am definitely in for that one.

Haven't even heard about any of the others, but the horror anthology sounds nice, and I usually like those old TV horror movies, so I hope the latter does well enough for them to do more. There are plenty of really good TV horror movies from that period, which haven't even been released on DVD.
