I saw some talk of Jack's Back the other day on here, so I finally decided to give it a watch on Shudder. I enjoyed it, but am mainly posting to note that Shudder's stream of it includes the Scream Factory logo at the beginning. I found that intriguing since I don't seem to recall other Scream releases that are available on there having the same opening. I found the transfer to be excellent. Was it funded by Scream as oppose to the original company who owns the rights to it (not sure who off the top of my head)? I know it was restored by Pinewood though (who is also credited).

Shout! Factory probably secured streaming rights to Jack's Back from the licensor, Cinema 7.

When it comes to Scream Factory slipcovers, it's hit-or-miss for older titles.

I'm not a huge slipcover person, but I do appreciate the ones from this label simply because of the original artwork. I've been lucky for the most part. My Blu-rays of From Beyond and Night of the Demons arrived without slips, but that's no big deal.

What are the chances of a blu-ray release of The Changeling, The Hitcher, and the original Shaft trilogy on Shout? Sorry if this was discussed before. The search feature doesn't seem to be working.

Correct. Maybe you'll get lucky though.

You should have no problem getting slips with the more recent titles.

Close to zero. The US rights all fall under the Time Warner umbrella.

Speaking of which, would there be any chance of seeing The Changeling from Warner Archive then? I mean, technically it's not a Warner title but from HBO.

When asked on Facebook, Warner Archive said it wasn't one of their titles, so make of that what you will. They're strictly correct of course but it's not very encouraging.

HBO is calling the shots, not Warner. Hence the WAC reply.

Shout seems to get quite a few titles from other studios. I don't see WB moving on these and thought these would make great releases for Shout.

I know this has been briefly mentioned. Scream is "having a very aggressive sale" in June to celebrate their 5th anniversary and it will be the "biggest sale ever". Saying he stands behind this one because it will be a lot different from previous sales and only for a limited amount of time. Very curious to see what they have to offer. I won't get my hopes up but he made it sound promising.

Hopefully this sale includes a lot of older, "lesser" titles like Supernova that I've been waiting for an excuse to buy

Hopefully it's everything. I have a majority of their releases already, but there's some I don't have that I'd pick up if the price is right.

Scarecrows is finally going to be mine! I used some Barnes & Noble coupons to grab a copy for cheap.

There is a handful of older Scream titles that intrigue me, and I use various opportunities to pick them off when the price is right.

If the upcoming Scream sale is nice, then I'll finally buy Jack's Back.

I hope it is. If so I'm gonna do a clean sweep of the holes in my collection, then perhaps move on to getting some random titles from here on. I loaded up on their last sale.

"Sometime this month". I'm guessing a week from now (June 8th) is a possibility, since that day 5 years ago was when the Scream Factory line was announced.
