(No, that'd be for drive-in 70's softcore, like when Rhino got The Van and Galaxina on DVD...)

Oo... Was hoping they'd start a 50's-80's cult-musical line, and the name's a nice excuse.

Haven't been on this thread this week (we lost HMV in the UK so been on that thread)

Whats this about news on DVD releases and Hospital Massacre ?

I've imported US DVDs for years, but only started on US blu rays last couple of months. Apart from Night of the Creeps and Child Play its all Scream/Shout so far

Would be made up with news on HM, been after that film for years !!

Been on Shouts website and saw nothing. Anyone got links to this and other announced releases?

Thanks

There is a possibility Hospital Massacre might be DVD only, that is where the DVD/BR talk is coming from. And I know what is up with HMV, I still wanted to import their exculsive Touch of Evil steelbook from them....don't know how that's going to happen now

Very awesome news to hear about "Town That Dreaded Sundown"! A new HD transfer to boot just sweetens the deal, the lack of mention for "The Evictors" leads me to believe that this may actually be receiving its own release which is fine with me, I really had no issue if Scream wanted to do the double bill but either way works. Fine job, Cliff!

I'm fair certain it's a double feature. Unless they've recently decided to change that and release them seperatly

That's what I was thinking this whole time as well but based on their latest Facebook post it seems odd that they would mention it's coming to DVD and Blu-ray along with extras but no mention of "The Evictors" being tagged with it. Maybe Cliff can confirm for us tonight?

I have a feeling "Town" will be a single release.

Going through their comments, Scream Factory posted that it will not be a collector's edition but will feature extras and the memorable key art.

I would assume from that, that "The Town that Dreaded Sundown" will be an individually released title. "The Evictors" will probably be a seperate release (dvd only most likely), but may possibly be a SD extra on the "Town" Blu-ray/Dvd... But, other than Cliff, who really knows at this point.

Just saw that post, I fairly sure because of these that it may be a single release now.

Fits the bill of their releases like The Island and Death Valley.

What if the Evictors winds up on a movie foursome with Godsend, Schizoid and Xray ?

That seems extremely unlikely - it's completely unrelated to those three in either style or content, in addition to being from a different decade. I'm still pretty sure it'll be a SD extra on the Town BD, although the fact that it wasn't mentioned in relation to Town on Facebook may mean that Cliff and co. are still mulling what its fate will be.

I'm super glad to hear about a new HD transfer and Blu-Ray release for "The Town that Dreaded Sundown." For me, this is a biggie. I've been waiting to upgrade from my Goodtimes VHS since I started buying DVDs in 2001. I never would've guessed it would've taken 12 years since that time for this title to finally garner an official release and on Blu-Ray to boot.

Kudos to Cliff and the Shout!/Scream Factory team for going the extra mile and making releases like this happen.

I expect "The Evictors" to move with "The Town that Dreaded Sundown".
But the fate of these movies are what I am worried about...
X-RAY
THE HORROR SHOW
THE GODSEND
THE VAGRANT
SCHIZOID

I just hope to god X-RAY and THE HORROR SHOW get to BLU-RAY.

The rest I don't care about but still hope they go BLU because I would buy them if they were, but wouldn't be crushed if they were just dvds.

I think THE HORROR SHOW and THE GODSEND will be individual releases on BLU-RAY.

X-RAY, SCHIZOID, and THE VAGRANT are slashers and they would fit well together as a triple feature, preferably BLU-RAY because I want those movies, and I'm not picking up any dvds anytime soon.

I don't care what format they are on, I'll be buying all of Scream Factory's releases.
