My only regret is that I dropped a couple of titles from the order. Ah well - who knew.

(And yes, it's nice to send the extras back and all, but you may keep the unordered merchandise as a free gift.)

Very Cool! The film itself is honestly nothing to get excited about and arguably worse than a lot of the IFC midnight stuff, but I'm happy to see that it will finally get an official release. I can finally put my HDTV rip to bed. Hopefully they include a documentary exploring why the film was shelved. I've speculated myself in the past at lengths, but I'd love to hear an official word on the matter.

I figured I'd ask before I picked up some movies from Amazon. Was wondering if anybody has order these recently from amazon and got slip covers for them?

I guess the ones I really want are for Dolls, The Howling, From Beyond and Lord Of Illusions. I know they probably don't have them anymore on Amazon, but doesn't hurt to ask. And thanks for whoever replies .

I got a slip for Dolls from Amazon two weeks ago.

I ordered From Beyond a couple months ago, and didn't get a slip.

Ahhh, that's great to hear Puffy, thank you! Dolls is the one I wanted the most. Hopefully they still have them. Always thought when they didn't have the picture with the slip it meant you weren't going to get one, but I guess I was wrong (which is good).

I ordered Black Christmas from Amazon in May and I received it with a Slipcover. So I think you should be good with that one, not sure about Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 though.

Thanks. I'm ashamed to admit I've let my obsession with Scream's Collector's Editions lapse a little bit lately.

There's just so much coming out, and my budget is so limited. I'd hate to miss out on any major Scream Factory slips, I don't think my OCD could take it.

You're welcome! Haha, yeah I know what you mean. I just pretty much started my Scream collection so I've been trying to catch up big time. I know I probably won't get all the ones I want with slipcovers, but there are some that are MUST have, like Black Christmas (one of my favorites).

Yup My wallet is hurting between Arrow and Scream. I was find with just getting Arrow, but now Scream is gonna hurt.

There is always someone somewhere willing to sell them. I've acquired several from users on this forum over the years. I've paid anywhere from $3 to around $8 per shipped slip if I remember correctly. It's a lot easier to purchase the titles when they still have the slips for sure, but if you feel the need to own them they are always available somewhere. I don't purchase every slip I missed out on.. (still missing Mad Max and Lake Placid) but I feel like those titles look better without the slips anyways as they sit next to the other films in their respective franchise.

Land of the Dead CE coming 24th October:




Two discs, two run times, both cuts included. First release had some strong extras so I guess that, and the prospect of a new transfer, will be the main selling point here. And I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the Dawn of the Dead remake get the CE treatment before long.
