No. I'm basically content with my collection at this point in my life, so any announcement for any title from anyone is icing on the cake.

I'll keep buying the CEs because I love to collect them and greatly enjoy 95% of them, but the number of unreleased titles I'm still holding out hope of seeing on BD is pretty small at this point, and not the sort of thing Scream will ever get, so I'm not setting myself up with any expectations in the first place.

I love the remake of Dawn of the Dead but not sure I need to double dip. Then again, I think I got the current Blu release for something like $6.99.

Kino seems to be the only label that is still putting out non-limited releases of movies I never expected to see on Blu-ray. That might be unfair to some of the horror labels like Code Red, but that reflects my own bias, those are titles which are completely off my radar.

Yeah in my case Kino or Olive. Maybe a slim chance from the Shout brand. Still holding out hope for Criterions of Sisters and Cook Thief Wife Lover, and a DMC release for Something Wicked.

These are two relatively large films to announce before Comic-Con. Have they given any indication to how many they are announcing?

Olive does manage to squeeze in a few surprises now and then, that's true. The last new Olive title I bought was THE DELINQUENTS, which I never expected to be released by anybody in any format ever. Kino has caught my attention because they release a lot of kinda dumb but really fun comedies.

With the Criterion titles you mention, I file those under "surprised they haven't been released yet". Especially Sisters, that's been out overseas for years. Their recent announcement of "Hopscotch" has rekindled my hope that they'll do a "Tunes of Glory" blu someday, but I suspect the master needs too much work, and too few people care about the movie.

I could be wrong, but I think they'll try to avoid filling their SDCC slate with double dips, as they seemed conscious of the response to this in the recent podcast. There was only a handful last year as I recall (Poltergeist 2 and 3, Black Christmas).

They usually announce around 10 titles at Comic Con.

I hope Scream pays Synder in Scream Factory releases and people on Facebook get angry again.

I overlooked Dreamscape. Still, around a third isn't bad, plenty for those who want 'new' stuff. I can see a few more MGM catalogue titles being announced - The Ambulance, The Falling, maybe Screamtime.

With Twilight Zone already out and Outer Limits announced, I'd like to see SF release a set for Thriller. The DVD set has some nice extras, but the video and audio quality leave something to be desired.

So I just placed and order on Shouts website using my credit card. I noticed it's already a pending transaction on my account. Is that just a preauthorization like with a debit card or is it already charged to my account?

It's a preauthorization, you will be charged when it ships.

If Scream were to venture into TV series', maybe something like Kolchak: The Night Stalker (as a Universal-owned property) would be a good bet? A reasonably limited number of episodes (20), so 5 discs would probably do it (extras would be fairly limited). Plus if Kino are to release the two TV movies on Blu that could be an added incentive.

Trouble is, restoring these would likely be cost-prohibitive to a release, unless Universal assisted in this regard.

Are You Afraid of the Dark?

Yes, very disappointed. Two films already available on Blu-ray and an obscure modern horror film that very few have seen, but at least it hasn't been released in the US yet.

So I left a message with Shout's "help line" or whatever, still haven't gotten any of my order or even an email.
