I literally just received my copy of the German Mediabook of The Ambulance. It was a blind buy but I've heard good things about it. Very nice edition too.

Speaking of Darkman, my local Best Buy was stocking Shout's Darkman Collectors Edition (sans Slip, unfortunately) for $20. Not sure if that nation wide, but if you're looking for it. Maybe.

Maximum Overdrive is with Lionsgate and is likely coming later this year or early next year as part of the Vestron Line barring any further problems securing the music rights. Personally, I've predicted that it will release in September or October to coincide with the release of the new "IT" film but that's just me speculating.

Of all the Child's Play films part 2 is easily the most deserving of a collectors edition. A new scan of the film itself, the inclusion of the tv cut, new commentaries and a plethora of behind the scenes promotional material exist for this film. Even if nothing new was created, the various guest spots and EPK materials alone would make for a substantial package. The current Blu Ray is film and an SD trailer only.

I am guessing the music would be no problem since AC/DC doesn't seem to be bad with their licenses from what I know of. I just wished they would finally release all of the music from the film not just the songs out in the Who Made Who album that only has the two specific made for film scores.

AC/DC may not care but do they own all the music in the film or does a record label? The Band may only want a small fee but the label itself may have other ideas. Again just speculating, but it's been mentioned in other places that the film is being prepped for a Vestron release if the music rights can be sorted out (and as I understood things conversations were already occurring). Take it with a grain of salt of course but it seems like credible info.

It's pointless asking them such things. They aren't going to give a straight answer until they're ready to announce something.

As for someone asking about the "crappy Italian Alligator movie", that one is actually coming from Code Red, soon, LOL... Scream, however, flat denies that they have the "Alligator" with Robert Forster, from 1980. They claim they can't get it at this time. Won't know for sure till CC, though, I suppose....

I have yet to receive the blu rays that were supposed to ship July 7th. I emailed Shout a few days ago and they responded that have not mailed them yet. Has everyone received the ones that were in backorder?

So far the October lineup sucks so I was really hoping Hell Night would make it in time for my Halloween horror-marathon. Oh well!
