I haven't watched it in about a year, but I don't recall any hiss during the audio at all. If there was something, I didn't notice it at all.

I plan on picking up the They Live steelbook on the first. I wonder since everyone has been rescanning and rescanning and rescanning films lately if They Live could possibly get a rescan in the near future?

I hope it does. I rewatched it a few months back and it has issues.

Bah... I've been to 3 local wal-marts on a few occasions and never once found a copy or price tag anywhere. I will say however that my local Best Buy has been increasing the amount of Shout/Scream Titles they carry. Stopping by today and I found Raising Cain, Bill and Ted's Excellent Collection, Night Hawks, Red Dawn, Cheech and Chongs Next Movie and likely more I can't remember in addition to the usual suspects of Darkman, Day of the Dead, etc. etc.. The prices were all still more than I'm willing to spend, but the fact that these were in store is a great sign with the fall season just around the corner.

Not sure who owns the rights to Wolf Creek, but I'd like to see that one on blu. I think my DVD is Alliance.

No doubt! I bought the Zavvi steelbook, but really like this film and would dip on SF release. Also would like to see the 2nd film and even the tv series.(I know it already has a release)
I did notice Chiller will be airing Wolf Creek2 later on this month, so I added that to the DVR scheduler. Looking forward to finally seeing it.

Its part the Weinstein' Co/Dimension Extreme catalog that was housed at Genius Products/Vivendi that is currently stock in limbo.

The Weinsteins owned a percentage of Anchor Bay as a company, so I am not sure why they didn't release the Dimension Extreme titles through Anchor Bay. But now Anchor Bay is owned by Lionsgate, and Lionsgate will be Lionsgate when it comes to releasing their own back catalog. This of course is if the Winsteins did not get a pay out when Anchor Bay was bought by Lionsgate and they no longer have anything to do with Anchor Bay, but the last few Weinstein Co titles have been released on BD by Anchor Bay through Lionsgate.

But I just don't think the Weinsteins care at this point.

Very informative, thank you. Disappointing that we likely won't see this on blu though. Thought it was one of the better horror movies in "recent" memory.
